Dutch Bros Coffee — Restaurant in Idaho

I genuinely love Dutch Bros but I’m so disappointed in the customer service when ordering. I don’t expect much from the employees, truly. But I have gone through the line two times crying.

The first time was before I went to put my dog down. Showed up a mess. I could barely get a word out. The guy who took my order asked how I was and I couldn’t even answer but he wasn’t paying attention and responded to me by saying “that’s good. I’m doing good thanks for asking” I never asked how he was.

The second time I went through crying was after picking up my dogs ashes. The guy who took my order was very friendly but didn’t read the room very well or at all. I was able to talk a lot more this go around and engage but was no “are you okay” or anything. My voice was cracking, I was sniffling, and tears were on my face. I would say it was noticeable that I was crying.

Both times though I will say the girls who were at the window did their jobs amazing. They checked in. The first I showed up crying I didn’t get a drink and the girl at the window kept asking if I wanted something. Since I’m a transplant from the East Coast, and just moved to Boise about two years ago From the beginning, I’ve heard so much talk of Dutch Bros coffee from random people that I ran into and I thought I need to check them out and boy was I surprised not only were there drinks delicious but their prices blow any coffee shops include the national one such as Starbucks Out of the water You’re most definitely get what you pay for and then some at Dutch Bros I’ve seen some negative reviews where the person seems disgruntle that the barista‘s are awfully chatty to me. This just adds to the experience that is being a Dutch Bros, where they’re positive energy is very infectious, even if I’m not having the best morning. because on the east coast, I’ve been to some coffee shops where I have felt ignored because of my disability, but Dutch Brose always how to treat everybody including myself equally and with respect which I love. It's always a delight to visit ANY Dutch Bro's! I fell in love with these young kids while taking care and living with my mom who had Alzheimer's. For a decade Dutch Bros was about the only communication I had outside of my home and also the only, Friends I had while taking care of business and my mom and of course my dog! My dog by the way is so very quiet you can knock on my front door and she won't bark! However, at Dutch Bro's she's very verbal and makes sure we don't forget her pup cup! No doubt the training that goes into being a barista for Dutch Bros includes teaching how incredibly important it is to make each customer feel both important and seen! Some of the most delightful people with kind, compassionate hearts work for Dutch Bros!!! These folks are like no other! Excellent beverages matched only by the excellence of their team members! Best groove out there and comes with as much caffeine as you want OR if you're like my friend you can get your creative de-caff on! YAY...
