We purchased our RV from the Grand Rapids location and were blown away by the service, left a 5 star review. Wish I could say the same for the Newaygo location. We were recently camping and the fridge was not keeping things very cold. Bumped up the temp to as cold as it would go, still nothing. Checked the fuses, tried on propane mode, battery mode, still nothing. Called the service dept and explained what was going on and asked if there was anything else we should do. They said nothing that they knew of. As the day went by the fridge was not working at all so we ended up leaving a day early and threw out $40 worth of food because it was no longer cold. Called the dealership the next morning and they said bring it out. They had it a couple days and said there was nothing wrong with it, couldn't get it to not work. Since it was not broken we would be responsible for the $69 shop fee. Husband went to pick it up and told them how unhappy he was about this. Was told it was user error and we had to pay for it. These things happen sometimes and you just need to reset and that happened when we turned off the fridge when we returned from camping. Why didn't they tell us that when we called the first time. The most frustrating thing is that they just didn't care, not their problem. So not only were we out $75 for food and camping we had to pay them another almost $70 for nothing! I am honestly shocked at this as I didn't get this impression at all when we purchased our RV in Grand Rapids.
UPDATE: we returned to have service work done as the dealership in Grand Raoids told us they have new staff. Service was much better. You see, im making a huge change in my life, and I need to feel seen while I do this, or it means nothing. Then, the other day, I was popping out to grab something to eat and decided to pop in to these guys. I was greeted by Devon, and he immediately got to work. He heard and understood my mission and needs for my trailer. I had a budget, and because of different add one, we surpassed my budget. So we gave it an evening and he came back with a perfect match. I was able to do the upgrades i needed and still stayed in budget. They have worked with me along the way, and I'm always greeted with a smile. Adam has been working tirelessly to get me on the road soon after all my requests. You see, I am a solo traveler and needed cameras for extra eyes for maneuvering to a large lithium battery and solar to allow me to boondock as I want to. The absolutely worst customer service I have ever received. I brought a 2021 Nucamp trailer in to get diagnosed for a fan issue. I picked it up before the weekend and was told they had to order parts. (July 14 or 15) No call. I call to see what is going on. They have to call me back after they find paperwork, no call. I call back and they said the part is not under warranty and start to go over parts cost. I told they the part has a 7 year warranty and they said they would call me back. No Call. I called back and I was told by the service writer he would check into warranty and call me back. No Call. This happen at least 2 more times. Finally the service writer said it was not covered under warranty because it was a maintenance issue. I remind all that have read this far it is a 2021 trailer.
