We stopped in on a whim on the way home from a long day of work because we were driving through Newaygo to get to the highway, we were hungry and the sign said meatballs! I had no idea what to expect and had actually driven past the test before I saw the sign. I was pleasantly surprised!
It was clearly posted that we had to wear masks to enter. As annoyed as I am with the mask situation (not that the restaurant has any control over that of course) , I do appreciate the reminder/ warning before I enter buildings.
It was very clean and tidy in the dining room and the restroom. We were greated and seated promptly. Our server was fantastic! She had a sparkling personality, a great sense of humor, and struck the perfect balance between hovering and disappearing.
The food was perfect! Well, I really don't like peas and they were kind enough to switch them out for a different vegetable which was great! The rest of the entree was egg noodles, meatballs and a kind of thick gravy or sauce. (For the life of me I cannot remember the simple name of the dish, lol!) It was hot, delicious and incredibly filling. If anything, I would say that there was a bit too much sauce, but that is just my personal preference and not something that I think anyone would complain about. It was like homemade comfort food from Grandma's kitchen! (My mother & grandfather can't cook, maybe that's where you get your homemade by someone else comfort food though, it's the same idea) The bread was delicious as well- we even bought a loaf to take home.
The atmosphere was comfortable, like a family kind of place. I would definitely recommend it to others and will pop in again if...

Pretty busy for a Friday night.their sign outside does say help wanted for wait staff . Which could explain the long wait for food.our waitress was Adriana (sp?) Apologetic n nice for long waits but I saw wait staff behind the counter that were on their cell phones. So anyways..we ordered a Dr pepper and strawberry lemonade (which tasted great n fresh) 10 min wait for drinks. Then ordered our appetizer the BBQ chicken wings (amazing,no need for any tips to go with it) but another 20 min wait . So we were compted them for the wait. Got a bacon cheeseburger (w/ketchup,mayo,onions) and fries . delicious. And a cowboy burger(swiss cheese,BBQ sauce, fried onion strings,n bacon) with tator tots. Another 7 mins .came to bout $22. All in all def would come back or recommend for food wise.its delicious. The wait I could def do...
Read moreThe food is good, not great but good. That being said, I would expect good at this type of restaurant because they have ao many choices on the menu. I do always feel a but let down when the salad that comes with dinner has 1 tomatoes and 1 cucumber slice, and no cheese. Many people really enjoy the salads and a few croutons, a little more lettuce, and some cheese can make a big difference. The waitresses are kind but they are not very attentive to coffee refills. This is something we have noticed on multiple occasions. Still a good choice for a home...
