Panda Buffet — Restaurant in Newaygo

I order a couple times a week. When they first opened, it was amazing. As for my last couple of orders the food and portions have become a disgrace. I ordered my typical go to items on 1/8/2025 and what I received has now left me with NEVER ordering here again. I ALWAYS order the # 35. Large house special Lo Mein. When they irst opened the container was pcked full and the meats were abundant. Such a great meal. When I got my order on 1/8/2025, my conyainer was not full and it was mostly lo mein noodles and 1 shrimp. What a joke. I ordered my # 70 Beef w. broccoli. Normally the container is packed full. On 1/8/2025, I got a container that was 1/4 of the beef w. broccoli and the rest of the container was 3/4 full of rice. Rice used to be served in a little box seperate from the beef w broccoli. They charged $ 12.95 for absolutely nothing. I used to get a full container of beef w broccoli for that price. A complete rip off... I have tried calling to complain...their phone is never available. I am unable to go their directly due to being homebound. This place USED TO BE THE GREATEST thing to come to Newaygo. Now its a DISGRACE. With the portion sizes, quality, accuracy, their using cabbage as a filler, and their charging prices NOW for half of what I USED to be get is a rip-off. I say now, close your...

I read all the reviews for this place before I met a friend to eat here recently, hoping all the negetive reviews were dramatic. Happy to say, you can't plrase everyone, the negetive reviews are very drmastic in my honest opinion.

The food was as expected for a Chinese buffet, They trays were full and hot! The food was good! We got there as they opened and the ladies were still cleaning booths, you could smell that they were using an effective cleaner for killing germs, it was so nice to know that we were sitting down in a booth at a table that was 100% CLEAN. ❤️

The staff were not overly friendly but they understood our drink orders and were prompt on a refill. I did not take them as rude or unfriendly. They were just quiet, which is honestly preferable. I enjoy the quiet! I had a seafood salad, honey chicken, some noodles, fried rice, and Rangoon. It all tasted like any of the other buffets to me and the convenience of getting it right in Newaygo and not having to drive to Alpine was SO nice!

I strongly feel that the staff was likely under prepared for the rush of people that came to try this place when they first opened, but their English is not strong and they likely did not know how to communicate that they were just over whelmed, which lead to frustration on all sides.

Terrible food besides the crab ragoon. Don't even think about doing take-out from this place, I would not recommend it. With the staff, there's a huge language barrier which results in wrong orders 95% of the time (even if you point to or circle items on the menu, TRUST ME I've given them multiple chances). Furthermore, their pork tastes terrible, literally couldn't force myself to eat it. Their General Tso chicken is very dry, they are skimpy on the sauce. Matter of fact, there's is very minimal deference between any of their sauces. Also, you get the beef, you'll be chewing till next week. Lastly, you must ask for sweet and sour sauce for your crab ragoon, and silverware when you order to go or you will not have any. To top it all off, their prices are going up in January 2025. I wish I had 3 more hands so I could give this place 5...
