Once in the boathouse, you will see that the volunteer renovation teams have done a super job (work-in-progress) and it’s a clean, well-maintained airy sunlit almost ethereal space with panoramic surround views of the bay.

The sign on the biulding said it was open on the weekends from noon to three. We found a peraon who was cleaning the biulding who told us it actually is only open on holiday weejends like labor day, memorial day and 4th of July. Anyway the nice lady let us in to see the boathouse and it is very neat. It operated from 1936 till 1960. They launched the boats on rails into the water. It’s a short drive from Garibaldi city center and walking over the Pier’s end is a fun experience. It extends out 760’ and get get quite windy at times. Nice spots for crabbing and fishing on the pier. There is a parking lot at this place, we could easily find a spot on a weekend.
