One of the best pizzas in my pizza-filled life!

I never expected this from an unassuming little business located inside a trailer park. Crust, sauce, cheeses, and meats — all absolutely top-tier. The menu is inventive and inspiring (I immediately started hacking it; see below) but I'd have been content to order a simple cheese or pepperoni pie and appreciate the craftsmanship.

My wife and I ordered the "Rough Bar". We asked for the Calabrian peppers on the side, and I'm glad we did. I'm no wimp, but those babies are powerful enough to have denied me the subtler notes in the other ingredients — all of which were fantastic, including the hot honey.

We also got the seasonal "Garibaldini", a sauceless pie with fresh clams nestled into the cheese. Though this place rightly considers cheese to be a specialty, I'd have left out the provolone, parmesan, and romano and kept the mozzarella light so the clams could retain more of a presence. To add back some complexity, maybe they could top it with fresh arugula? Just spitballing.

If the weather is nice, I recommend snagging one of the picnic benches on an idyllic patch of lawn across the parking lot, right above the water.

Thanks, Crab Rock Pizza! You're the highlight...

Great people.

Great place.

Even greater pizza.

We visited Crab Rock with two hungry kiddos and left satisfied and stuffed. The pictures alone from other past patrons convinced us to try Crab Rock, and we were not disappointed. The small, inviting atmosphere has a great ambiance and I love a "order at the counter" system. We enjoyed a brief chat with the owners who were excited to ask where we called home. Although the room was full of families, our piping-hot, freshly baked pizza was brought to our table in what felt like minutes. I got the Hobsonville and every piece drew me into the next. It has a beautiful flavor and just-right filling amounts of each ingredient. My sensory-and-texture-sensitive son can be picky...but I'll let his review of the Dori (Cheese) take it away:

"This is the best pizza I've had in my life." "Best day ever." "You're totally bringing us back here Dad."

What he said. Thank you Crab Rock. Unless you're opening a location soon in Camas, it looks like we'll be planning more 2 hour drives to hang out...

Crab Rock Pizza is the best pizza on the entire North Coast! So much care, consideration, and love has went into every single aspect of this business and it shows! Every ingredient is hand selected and you can taste the focus on quality, fresh ingredients. There's nothing like this place on the coast. Perfect pizza in a delightful atmosphere. Their handmade gelato/sorbeto flavor combinations are OUT OF THIS WORLD! The owners have done their homework and are dedicated to providing consistently excellent pizza to the community. The location is prime with an excellent bay front view. Cozy and comfortable. I can't get enough! Get ready for certain success, Crab Rock! You are amazing! Coffee is delicious and top shelf! They also have beer/cider available. Easy to access with plenty of parking. I can't wait to watch you grow and hope you expand into breakfast (my 2nd favorite...

The pizza was good but not as good as I thought it was going to be. The seasonal pizza was a smoked salmon pizza that had a wonderful flavor but needed less capers and more salmon. The riptide’s ingredients were spot on. The crust and bottom of the pizza almost felt like it had left over flour on it or something that left a weird residue on your lips and kind of a lingering taste. When I picked up the pizza the guy working the register ignored me for like ten minutes seemingly catering to regulars then acted like I was a burden when all I was doing was picking up a pre ordered pizza…
