I have only tried the jalapeno poppers, and they were quite good, I am not sure if they came from a frozen box, but if so, it is from a high-quality source, and if they are homemade, that would be believable. I just wouldn't expect that from a bar. Everything there is fairly expensive but not astronomically pricey. I had a handful of shots over the evening, and the poppers and spent just under fifty before tip. But the big selling point is that the service is excellent and the atmosphere is somehow even better! The bartenders are festive (this is the Halloween season, and they dressed in a subdued spookiness-not costumes, but low-key goth for the most part) and the decorations are outstanding. They went all-out for Halloween, and have a costume contest coming up ON Halloween Night! Very cool! One of the bartenders did the decorations inside and on their expansive back patio, a great place to hang. Their Friday and Saturday karaoke is excellent as well; the DJ, Ann, always puts the newcomers up next or very soon, to make sure they have a chance to get in at least one song. I dig that a lot. She has a wide range of music available, and the whole bar cheers and claps for each performance, whether they are really good, like many were, or fairly flat, like my singing is. It makes it so easy to get up and belt out a tune, knowing that there's only honest encouragement, and not judgement to be found. I recommend it highly!

Sad note: Due to some sort of state or federal regulations, they were not able to let me share the gelatos that I brought for the occasion; I'm from a small town where such things didn't exist-gelato, or regulations, and it has a more potluck mentality, and it was kind of disappointing to not be able to share. I know there's rules, but the worst part is that there's no dessert selection on their menu, so there is nothing to have in its places. C'est la vie, I suppose, but minus a star from the food for no...

Craving that hole-in-the-wall bar experience where everyone knows your name? Look no further than Ghost Hole Bar, the charming coastal hangout that feels like home. This local legend may look a little rough around the edges, but don't let that fool you - the drinks are cheap and the characters are priceless.

Well-worn wooden bar has seen it all, from sailors to bikers to you Jukebox filled with classics to sing along and reminisce to Get lucky with lottery tickets and video poker to pass the time No fancy frills, just good times with salt-of-the-earth locals

Nestled right on the coast, Ghost Hole Bar attracts an eclectic crowd of lifelong regulars and visitors looking to soak up authentic local flavor. Sip on ice-cold beers, Bloody Marys garnished with olives and celery, and mimosas for the morning crowd. Chat up Mary, the sweet old lady who knows everyone's business. And don't worry about the lack of BLTs on the menu - the burgers and fried seafood are well worth it.

Ghost Hole Bar isn't flashy, but it's got heart. For a no-fuss spot to kick back and feel part of a community, this is the place. Don't overthink it - just belly up to the bar and make...

I always go here when I'm in town. I get the crispy chicken salad x2 to go. Normally it is amazing. Not sure what was wrong this time. But I don't think I'll go out of my way for awhile to get the chicken salads. Unless the menu has changed, it comes with lettuce, tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, chiken and cheese with 4 oz. If salad dressing. Also a slice of garlic toast. Also, ordering to go; would include forks and napkins. I recieved hardly chopped lettuce, small amount of tomatoes, 2oz of dressing and chicken with barely enough cheese to see.(if lettuce was prepared correctly-enough for another salad) I ordered a side of garlic toast. In a container I recieved 3 uncut slices of toast. (Which I returned due to facial hair in butter spread) No napkins and no forks. I did get new garlic bread and napkins and forks when I drove back and asked. With tip this cost me $26.00. I will add that this visit is the olny bad experience I have had in 20 yrs. I guess it was just a bad night or a new employee. Otherwise the food is the best...

I had the tremendous pleasure of experiencing one of Garibaldi's truly historic dive bars The Ghost Hole! I've been traveling up and down the coast for decades and have always admired the exterior of this little shanty of a bar and I finally stopped with a buddy of mine and we went in and were met with some real jolly locals. Now the menu is nothing to write home about but I have to say the mushroom Swiss burger that I had was really delicious and I opted for the homemade potato salad as opposed to fries and it tasted just like Grandma's. The drinks were quite generous for the price point and the help was nothing short of accommodating. The back deck and patio are phenomenal. Something for the eye everywhere, including anyone who is into gardening and understands plants. But what blew me away the most was the backhoe right next to the fence on the east side and the full view of the antique railroad car that looks as if it's been lost in time. What a storied bar! I will definitely be back.

How have I driven thru Girabaldi all these years without finding this adorable locals pub?!! An escape from the family for the weekend and nearly everything closed by the time we were checked in and ready to go for dinner and a drink - we were met by the staff with smiles, waves, and warmest of welcomes! Friday night, amazing pineapple/jalapeƱo margaritas, juicy bacon cheeseburger, and OMG the BEST MACARONI SALAD I have ever had! Karaoke was starting and as much as I didn’t want to stay for that, I didn’t stand to sing but you know you gotta sing along when it’s music from your 70s high school stoner days, lol… MUST return, and definitely will next time I need a drive down the beautiful Oregon coast. Thank you Ghost Hole!!

We went to dinner last night it was Friday October 14, 2022. My daughter ordered the chicken strips and when we got back to the our hotel room at the Hotel Girabaldi she started throwing up within about an hour or so and continued to throw up the entire night and into the morning. It's now 10:30am and she is finally not throwing up every 20 minutes. I will never ever eat there again. My daughter is in so much pain and has been crying all night long. Check your temperature on your meat better.
