I went into the store on 6/21 with my mother to shop. While shopping I'm the shoe section one of the employees was training another employee about how to recover the store. While talking to the employee she was talking about how bad the customers were that come into the store and how bad they mess the store up. Being that I all a store manager myself I felt that this was EXTREMELY unprofessional. It turned me off from wanting to shop for more items. As I approached the cash wrap desk, I asked the cashier who was the MOD, and to my surprise, it was the lady that was talking about the customers. When I asked her shy she felt that was appropriate she responded to me and my mother with a nasty attitude. If it had not been for the black manager that stepped in and apologized for her behavior I would have never stepped into that store again. First, let me say that the store was extremely clean. The workers very nice. The reason behind the 3 stars is the fashion! I have been shopping at Cato for years. This is the worst I have ever seen! Apparently, I'm not alone. The "clearance" racks were full! What's with all the "ruffles, holes and oversized" sleeves? Tunics that make a 1 and 2x look like maternity tops. My day of shopping for a dress for my niece's wedding was not going well. I was starting to worry that I wouldn't be able to find anything.
