I am so glad I got a survey this time because Iâve never really got the âTarget Crazeâ that so many people seem to have about Target. I have been in customer service for over a decade. I am an Assistant CSM currently so I naturally look for these kinds of things. The customer service has always beenâŚ.not good. I have probably been in any Target maybe 3-4x in my life because I always have an issue with customer service or finding something. Itâs been awhile since I have been in Target except for a purchase I made the other morning. I was in and out in about 5 mins right at 8am so I didnât really get to experience it. Today I had to go back and return the clothes I bought a few days ago due to the size. I really wasnât expecting to have anything good to happen so when the woman that did my return handled it with a smile and without an issue; I was delightfully surprised. I thought, well maybe, I misjudged this place. I also had to pick up a new shower curtain liner. I went to where I thought it would be but I still couldnât find it. I seen an associate who told me where it would be and was very nice but anyone in retail knows that you donât tell the customer, you show the customer. That improves sales and service scores. I remembered that I needed socks but I knew that I would have trouble finding it so out of curiosity I checked to see if the app offered the ability to find the item. Super excited to see that not only does it offer the aisle but it also offers the map showing you where you are and the ability to make a list to map out your entire shopping list. I headed to checkout but when I was in the app I noticed that everything I looked to find was cheaper online than in the store. I wasnât upset or anything, just curious. So, I asked the two women at self-checkout who by the way did not greet or smile or even acknowledge me until I asked the question. One of them seemed offended or scared that I asked the questionâŚI was told âI canât answer that question, I donât know.â Being in retail, I understand that we donât always know the answer when corporate makes decisions above the store level but I would have at least tried to find out. Though that doesnât really bother me as much as the fact that the women at SCO answered and then went back to whatever they were talking about⌠While I was shopping, I was walking around thinking, I get it. I get the lure of it. Almost everything is there and the app navigation and list make a huge difference when you are just trying to get in and out asap. Iâm not sure how I feel about the store, yet. However, I do know that even with all the good of the app and the customer service desk, nothing makes up for the customer service issues. Iâm just one customer and maybe my opinion doesnât matter but my guess is that Iâm not the only one seeing customer service opportunities. I look forward to seeing...
Read moreI am a regular customer at target store #2565. This is my favorite place to shop and specifically my favorite store , the associates at this store are amazing and will do absolutely anything they can to help. Recently I visited and interacted with 2 young ladies makalah and Shannon both work in the beauty department at target. Makalah has beautiful butterfly tattoos on her arms which caught my eye so we started talking, I had been thinking of getting a tattoo for 7 years but was super nervous and I knew nothing about how to care for it or prep for it. Makalah helped me pick out all the best products and took the time to explain how they worked. I now have a healthy beautiful tattoo and I am completely knowledgeable on the proper care and maintenance. Shannon also did something very special for me on a recent visit I was struggling to find a product to help with some pretty intense stretch marks I had from my daughter. I was very insecure and frustrated having had them for so many years and nothing working I explained to her that I was feeling discouraged and insecure. She recommended a bio oil her father used for a wicked scar he had when nothing else was working. She shared her dads story with me and helped me feel more secure and comfortable and willing to give the product a try. Both of these ladies shared a little bit of themselves with me on these visits to not only recommend good well working products but to ensure that I was also educated, comfortable and confident. This is going beyond the extra mile I may be a regular but I'm also a stranger they took the time to help with out making me feel silly or ignorant. This is the exact reason why I shop at...
Read moreTerrible on line experience and in store guest services wasnât any better. I ordered an item and was granted extended time to pick it up, same day order was cancelled and credit card was charged. I called the store and was told that the credit card wasnât charged if the item was cancelled, again the credit card was charged, she said come to the store to get a refund. I went to the Gastonia store and went to guest services and was told they couldnât refund on line orders, so I ask if they could reorder the item since they had already charged me. I was told that the item was out of stock and that I could go to Pineville and get the item, so I ask again ask about a refund and was told that my bank was holding the credit and that I needed to call my bank so I went to the car in their parking lot and called my bank and was told there was no refund showing to credit my account and that Target had indeed charged my account. So I went back in the store and was told by the same girl at guest services that I needed to call corporate, she gave me the number. I went back to the parking lot and called corporate and was basically told they didnât know when my credit card would be credited. So letâs get this straight, Target charged my card, cancelled my order, and then says they donât know when I will get my money back. At least at Walmart, you get your money back right then. No more Target for me. I will tell all my friends and family about this...
