I have to give Chalet Village 5 stars. As for the supposed "superhost" of 2307 Cherokee Winds - I give 0 stars.

There isn't a cabin in Gatlinburg that is disappointing. What's disappointing is false advertising by the host. The hosts listing mentions 3 community pools, a game room with a pool table, a theatre room, a balcony with a grill, cable , internet , full kitchen , and hot tub on the deck. And the basic stuff but some amenities mentioned in the host's ad were either not working or unavailable.

For example , the gas grill would not fire. You could say this is no big deal but this gas grill was hooked up to a natural gas line and we planned to use it all week. My mother bought 200$+ in groceries to grill out for every dinner. We researched whether it was safe to light the gas grill with a lighter but just wanted the host to be aware as we didn't want to have to pay for damages.

There is no pool table as mentioned in the ad. The TV in the TV room downstairs worked , but the DVD player kept my son's DVD and wouldn't open , or play on the TV. This DVD was a rare transformers movie that took a long time to find, now it's stuck in a cheap DVD player. We emailed the host , and got an auto reply, twice. We finally called the host who admitted there hadn't been a pool table in the cabin for four years. The pool table was a selling point for us as well as the "3 community pools" since we planned to swim as well.

After the phone call we left to go into town , when we came back there was a lighter on the table and the DVD player would no longer turn on , and the TV it was connected to was on blue screen. Even though there was no pool table my son still liked the game room and wanted to sleep in it, but he couldn't watch the TV.

There are several memos posted on the wall about house rules with THANK YOU, CHALET VILLAGE at the bottom. Seems to me this host sucks, and wants to shift blame onto Chalet Village for his shortcomings and laziness to keep his cabin straight and please the tenants that pay his...

My family and I stayed in the Bonnie and Clyde cabin and truly wasn't impressed. The cabin in its entirety needs updated. Interior and exterior trim, cabinetry and countertops, doors and windows, floor coverings, paint and fixtures throughout and lighting. Not dirty but well used and in need of replacement. (The place has floral pastel wall paper boarder) The hot tub light was out The two balconies were also in need of some attention. Both were weathered and needed some boards replaced, powerwashed, and painted. Neither of the balconies had roof coverings which rendered them 100% useless in any sort of inclimate weather. The hot tub was also uncovered. Lower level patio screen was torn and was incredibly difficult to operate. The gas fire place looked nice but didn't operate Upstairs whirlpool tub was nice but has a 15 min timer that has to be reset or the jets shut off. The drive from Gatlinburg to the cabin is only about 8mins but it is a very narrow mountain road. The driveway is difficult to navigate even for experienced drivers. It does have an apt sized washer and dryer There were plenty of towels and trashbags The furniture was nice however both beds were very very firm

In closing I'd just like to say that the cabin was clean and there are certainly worse places you could stay but this is not a cabin I would recommend to any of my professional or personal friends without a stern word of caution. The fact that your in a cabin with no view, and no usable outdoor space in the rain that needs serious interior updates was genuinley frustrating. My husband and I are currently staying at 1822 cub way or 1820 Luzerne Dr. How ever you want to identify the house. When reserving the house for our honeymoon I entially thought it was going to be a very nice place for us two, but after arriving we discovered that the home was very dirty. Dust and dirt all over walls, base boards, windows, window seals, and bed Head board. The bathtub was dirty which I personally scrubbed. The fridgerator had food on the outside of it which I also cleaned. The trash can lid was covered in food and oily residue and I cleaned that too. There is hair from other guests along with dust and some type of hair product on mostly all of the pictures and furniture. The back deck is dirty and not well kept. If you look over the railing their is trash people have thrown down and no one has evered bothered to pick up. There are trees that have been cut down but just left, so it's like a pile of trees just laying there. It is very untidy. The hot tub does not work! The light nor the Jets will come on. We visited the chalet pool and that was terrible. Not only was the water cloudy and disgusting looking, but it was also freezing cold! We couldn't even swim in it because our bodies could not adjust to the temperature. The road to the house had so many pot holes i know I will have to get an alignment done when I get home to my car. I figured for the amount of money I paid to stay here it would have been more upscale then it was. It was totally not worth what I paid especially when I have to clean before unloading my luggage, and I can't even enjoy...
