Gatlinburgs Best! A Must Stop! If you are looking for the best pizza joint in Gatlinburg then Ski Mountain Pizza is the #1 choice. I remember coming here when I was little and always remembered the amazing road, scenery and of course pizza!

Our most recent trip to Gatlinburg had 1 must do item on it. What was that you may ask? Get a large pizza from Ski Mountain Pizza.

Ordering: Since we were so busy sadly we were not able to dine in but placed our order on the mobile app. The mobile app is a great new way to order from SKi Mountain Pizza with secure checkout as well as a estimated ready time.

Location: SMP is located on Ski Mountain Road. It is a very short drive from Gatlinburg by heading towards the park and turning right at the gas station. We ended up staying in Pigeon Forge so we took the Bypass. This is an amazing road with views and fun twisting corners.

Arrival: It was night so when we made our final turn and saw the bright glow of the SKi Mountain Pizza sign I knew we had arrived! Pulling into SKi Mountain Pizza gives me a feeling of truly being at a local restaurant where you feel like a friend and not another tourist or number. Once parking our car I made sure to look around for wildlife. Low and behold a little frog was awaiting our arrival near the front door! Once walking through the front door we were happily greeted by one of the new owners.

Pick-Up: Pickup was a breeze and once again we felt like people not a number. The new owners introduced themselves and we even picked up an awesome Ski Mountain Pizza shirt!#newfavoriteshirt When we picked up our pizza it brought back memories of past visits and the atmosphere was just something out of a great wholesome family movie. That may sound weird but this place truly has a nostalgia that really makes you feel comfortable.

Building: The building is kept in very high standards and has always been clean and inviting. Walking in you go through a set of doors and right up to the register. There is ample seating and a great view to see ski mountain road. Once again it is a great place to relax and unwind.

Food: SMP pizza is a new york style, thin, foldable and delicious. I have tried other NY style pizzas and this one is just better! With a thin crust and ample toppings this is a great alternative to those "fake" bulky 5lb pizza slices that are just not appetizing. SMP makes there pizza the right way! This is authentic New York Style Pizza! We ordered ours with pepperoni, sausage and jalapenos. Everything was fresh and it really made our quick vacation great! Next time we will try the new boneless wings and maybe a sub sandwich!

Final Thoughts: If you want to get out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area Ski Mountain Pizza is the place to go and unwind while having a great time. I wish they could recreate one here in Kentucky but we will just have to wait until our next visit to Gatlinburg. Thanks to the owners, staff and cooks for making our experience memorable. While we were only inside for a brief 5 minutes it made a great impact being able to have a slice of your amazing pizza and atmosphere. I already want to come back!...

It’s a long day hiking your favorite smoky mountain trail. You come down the mountain and want to grab some pizza for you and the fam. You look up “the all new ski mountain pizza” and see it’s on your way back to your house. You think, “why not call and order?” Oh wait - they don’t answer the phone.

You then look on their online ordering user interface and see a suggested platform and think to yourself, “oh geez, how much extra is this gonna cost?” You come to find out that ordering a pizza isn’t as simple as it sounds since the UI is a bit funky.

You settle for a cheesesteak and large pizza which really is just a medium for a whopping $41 - yes that’s without tip. 🫣 The wait time said 45 minutes from ordering so we arrived 35 minutes after ordering in case they got done a bit early.

You arrive and the staff is very friendly, asking your name and if you were there for a pickup order. We drove 10 minutes back to the house and look forward to eating our food. (although we weren’t hiking - we just finished a 10 hour car ride)

The food was meh — but not good for the price paid. Yes it’s gatlinburg, yes it’s touristy but some of these easy fixes can really leave a good impression on customers.

The pizza was a bit dry, the crust was crispy and flavor was okay but somewhat bland. (Buffalo chicken pizza - no onions) The Philly cheesesteak was ehhhhh - decent I suppose. I requested ketchup and mayo on it and I didn’t receive either but they toasted the bun which was good. The flavor was better, but the sandwich was still dry and the fries were sitting for a little while.

Overall - we wouldn’t come back unless we were in a serious bind. The customer service in the shop was good but apart from that they need to do some serious revamping. Although they probably won’t because they’re in such a touristy area and can get away...

I would rate less than one star but it doesnt allow you to. We visited gatlinburg with a large group of friends for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. Since we were staying on Ski Mountain and had heard good things, we decided Ski Mountain pizza would be a good option. We were wrong. While I understand it can be hard to get orders out when a lot come in, there was no excuse for my groups experience. We waited 3 hours for our pizza to he delivered and then called to check on it. Someone answered the phone by picking it up and placing it down without a hello or anything. A few of us then decided to go down to the pizzeria to see why our order had not been delivered yet. We were greeted with "Sorry but we arent taking anymore orders." To which I replied that we had already ordered. We were told that it would only be a while longer. While waiting on our order, we noticed that of the 4-5 people working, only the older woman was doing anything, the rest were just standing around. After about 30-45 minutes of sitting and watching one employee get more and more irritated over the phone ringing, the older woman do all the work, and the others stand, we got our order. They were "nice enough" to take the delivery charge off for us since we drove down to pick it up. The pizza was mediocre at best and the garlic bread was the most pitiful thing I've ever seen. It was a piece of texas toast cut up... Won't...

Extremely overpriced and sadly taking advantage of tourists. I agree with another review that $17 for a mediocre tasting personal-sized pizza is just ridiculous. And the restaurant’s response was that they used quality ingredients. Um, no. $3.50 to add a (veggie) topping? I ordered a veggie pizza, no green pepper, add pineapple. There was no pineapple on the pizza. There was also no red pepper on it. So by their math it should be a refund for the green pepper $3.50, the red pepper $3.50, and the pineapple $3,50. I called multiple times but nobody answered. You can get an entire can of pineapple for $2. If you put the highway robbery aside, what happened in this photo? Were the ingredients added after it was baked? Was there any attempt at all to distribute the ingredients? A toddler could make a better pizza. $3.50/topping SMH. The picture speaks for itself. If you want to pay $3.50 for 3 pieces of mushroom, or for 5 leaves of spinach, or 4 slices of tomato, this is the place for you. It’s quality ingredients though hahahahaha And make sure you have a pizza cutter handy!
