Ober Mountain Ice Rink — Local services in Gatlinburg

Not great. It was 5:15 AFTER we'd paid $20 to park when we arrived. Lady at the counter tried her best to talk us out of coming up. She says d the line for the coaster MIGHT be longer than the time we had. Rides close at 7:30! She called somebody who supposedly knew what the lines were and talked for another 15 minutes. We went anyway. She still tried to talk us out of it! The tram guys were friendly enough. We road the coaster twice before 6:30. The guy at the coaster was GREAT! Friendly, personable, even comedic. The rest, not so much. We went to have our grandson do the snow tube at 6:45. Closing. Rock wall at 6:48. Closing. Went to do bouncy things at 6:55. Closing. Called the guy out. Kid got to jump 20 minutes. We finally left. Not a great experience after $110 for two adults. Grandson is 4, so...

Ice was in terrible condition, and the skate rentals were absolute trash. Caused so much pain in 2 people that we weren't on the ice for 6 minutes before we gave up. When we said something to the rental workers they agreed they were terrible. A portion of the rink is blocked off for some really silly looking bumper.. tubes? Moving so slow, I didn't see a single person look like they were having fun on them. Just taking up prime space. Some of the employees were a little rude, most didn't seem to want to be there.

Never BEEN TREATED SO RUDELY!! Some ladies were yelling for this man to simply ask a question and he was actively ignoring them. So I skated over and told him they needed to ask him a question and he responded “lady they are going to have to wait their turn” extremely rudely. They had a simple question. I will not be back here. I serve my community and risk my life for it and do not deserve to be treated this badly by the people I serve. I hope we see action about this and will be filing a formal complaint. If he wants to listen to his headphones all day he need to do it at home when he’s not getting paid to do it.
