Flame Center — Local services in Georgetown Charter Township

If I could give them no stars or negative stars I would! We just purchased a house that when we came for inspection the gas fireplace insert wasn't working--- the current homeowner's called the Flame Center they came out and told the homeowner's it was a venting issue-- BUT didn't actually get on the roof and look at vent-- just said they could tell based on flame colors etc. The Flame Center sent someone out to explain to us the NEW homeowner's and they told us the same thing they didn’t want to go up and inspect anything just said they could tell based on color of flames and how the flames were “ghosting out” , when they left they kept the fireplace lit and didn’t say anything about it be dangerous. We had a DIFFERENT company come and tell us it is SUPER DANGEROUS AND THEY HAD TO RED-FLAG IT! The other company was appalled the Flame center left it operational and didn’t RED-FLAG. The vent on roof too close to 2x4's = HUGE FIRE HAZARD., NOT EVEN PROPER VENTING MATERIALS USED. Not only a HUGE FIRE HAZARD but CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD AS WELL! What would the Flame center have done if our new house went up in flames or we got ill from Carbon monoxide poisoning! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!! We are having the other company fix the venting so we can SAFELY USE our fireplace insert. We will never count on the flame center...

If you can purchase fireplace equipment anywhere else, do so. The lack of customer service is astounding as well as the installation charges I was not made aware of. I ordered a gas log fireplace set with glass doors in the fall of 2022 and they completed the installation this spring just in time for warm weather. The gas log set was available, but according to the Flame Center they have to wait until the glass doors arrive so they can make one installation trip. The doors were on back order. I asked to have the logs and gas installed and they said NO, it's not our policy saying, we have to wait for the doors to arrive. Subsequently no fireplace all winter. It's a backwoods organization with no idea about customer service, so...

Was in town over the weekend visiting family - Stopped by Flame Center to check it out with my Brother who lives up there and is looking to remodel his house. I also have a wood burning Stove and had some questions and Issues I wanted to address with the sale Lady, Teckla. She was so Helpful and very Knowledgeable. My Brother is most likely going to work with them for his remodel and I know if I ever buy new or need service I have a great resource. The real reason I took the time to write a review is the Sale staff there was so awesome and intent on making sure all our questions and issues were addressed. Overall Great Experience ! Thanks for all your Help...
