I will not be shopping here ever again. We have purchased thousands of dollars worth of furniture in this store. I bought a bed for $1500 from the store. We picked it up and brought it home. It took a couple weeks to get the room ready to set the bed up, but I went to put it together and didn't even have any of the hardware. None. I went and purchased hardware myself only to put the slats on and the mattress on and sit on the bed and the slat break in half. We called the store as it was a king bed and it didn't make sense that the bed had no middle feet. They said oh yes it should have had middle feet and a middle slat. So the owner came out and "fixed" the bed. They brought a bunch of hodgepodged pieces to fix the bed, mind you this bed was purchased as a brand new bed from a furniture store, so I don't even remotely have the original correct pieces. A couple weeks pass and I'm sitting on the bed only to have one of the middle legs drop out from under the bed. Also keep in mind I told the owner I was anxious about the bed from the start as I have a dog that sleeps under the bed and a kitten running around. A couple days went by a slowly all of the legs in the middle have all fallen off. I'm sleeping downhill in a bed I am terrified is going to crush my animals, I'm a 5'2" girl who cannot lift a king mattress on my own to stand the legs up every time they fall. I called and couldn't be helped by anyone in store and they said the owner would call. He called, David, and that was the WORST customer service call I have ever experienced. I said I wanted to return the bed as I am too anxious to sleep in it and I was never given the correct pieces for a bed that was sold to me as new. He said my only options were him coming to jerry rig the bed again or for him to do NOTHING, so here we are. I would NOT RECOMMEND this store. The customer service is garbage especially in relation to the overpriced furniture. I hope the owner enjoys our day in small claims court. :) I'll include pictures of my dog and cat that the owner thinks is okay to crush, not even to mention the damage the bed will do falling to the flooring or to me, who already is in PT...

I was money shamed by the staff. I came in with a budget of 2500 dollars for decorations on a room that's already finished. That was plenty of money for a nice set of unique lamps they had, some sculptures they had in a glass case. However when I was shopping, I let a curious staff member know my budget when he asked.....he replied "oh there's nothing you can get in here for that budget. I'm sorry." It was very dismissive, as if I should leave the store. On the other hand he was wrong. There were about 4 things I was noting and debating about purchasing. I came all the way from myrtle beach to take a look. But it's clear they don't have any 'small sales' in mind. I don't know about anyone else, but i consider 2500-3000 dollars still a good sale on an item. Whether someone comes in wanting to spend 30,000 dollars on a room, or 3,000, every customer should be treated with respect. Not...

It has been some time since I have come across the level of excellence in customer service that Gwynne provided me at Augustus & Carolina. It was my first time in the store and was there, ironically, as a General Manager going above and beyond for a customer of my own. Upon arrival, Gywnne informed me that she had just recently been employed at Augustus & Carolina - and to bear with her as she spent time following up with my out-of-the-norm situation/request. In addition to her so diligently following through with my request - she was also the only staff member servicing the showroom that day.
