I wish I could rate this store 5 stars, but after shopping there half a dozen times, I believe a 3 is fair. That's based in part because I'm not comparing Sprouts to a huge chain like HEB but instead another small boutique store like Trader Joe's. It's surprising to me that a store with such high prices doesn't counter that with exceptional customer service. While I have had some friendly encounters with staff members it's not at all consistent. Prices at Trader Joes are dramatically less expensive and the employees are always in great moods, will jump through hoops to help and know where products are located. As a previous reviewer noted it's sometimes difficult to find anyone who can help. I can only suspect that the culture at Sprouts doesn't foster a better customer experience.
I will continue to shop here but only for specific items (the beef selection is excellent) or certain organic products. For everyday grocery items it's back to Randalls. In the meantime, I'll cross my fingers that Trader Joes opens a store...
Read moreI'm familiar with Sprouts from living in California and I'm usually pleased with Sprouts. I was very disappointed in Georgetowns customer service today. It's Mother's Day and on the way to visit Mom we stopped in and purchased a bouquet of flowers for elderly mom. The bouquet looked beautiful on the outside but when it was opened up to put into a vase, there was an extreme amount of mold on the stems. While visiting mom and having dinner plans, we don't have time to run back to Sprouts. We gave them a call. They offered an exchange of the bouquet which over half of the one that was purchased ended up in the trash. Sprouts won't refund. Typically, I believe stores can refund digitally. I have my receipt and everything needed. I don't have time on Mother's Day to go back to get a second bouquet for mom. I don't want to exchange one moldy bouquet for another one. They suggested that Mom could come later in the week and pick her own. My elderly mom is not able to do that. Beware, don't buy flowers...
Read moreThis Sprouts is outrageously overpriced. Everything feels like it costs two to four times what it should, and it’s just not worth it.
Customer service makes it even worse. Karen at the front always has a poor attitude. Any time I’ve tried to return something, she asks 20 unnecessary questions and even pries into my personal life—my mom, my food stamps, my groceries. Instead of being professional, she comes across as condescending and dismissive.
In the supplements section, I had a very uncomfortable encounter with another employee. I was crouched down looking at mullein and bromelain when she came around the corner, stared at me, and acted hostile instead of helpful. She drives a red Honda bike if management is wondering who I’m talking about.
Overall, the high prices and unfriendly service make this store a place to avoid. If you’ve got common sense,...
