I bought a 12oz Latte with caramel with oatmilk, it was around $6.30 or so. I bought a small lapel pin for $9 - not sure it's appropriate to share with the class but it was neat.
This is mostly a women's romantic book shop, I say that because most if not all the books were ughhh focused on big hot man sweeps woman off her feet type books.
I'm sure they have other books but the majority were in that genre. It had a good vibe, it was too busy for my comfort level on Sunday - I guess they had just had their grand opening this last Friday so to be expected. They sell all sorts of coffee options, milk alternatives, iced/hot coffee, and small bakery items it looked like. Prices were moderate. Book prices were moderate-high, good quality hardbacks and softbacks.
Of course men can read these books, just highlighting that they fall into the romance category primarily from my observations. They have a couple chairs inside in the corner to sit in, they have regular height chairs outside, and they have a wrapping high chair type of bar height situation that has a small length table so you can bring your laptop or just use it to read. They have a monthly book subscription but I didn't inquire about what that entails or costs (on their website it appears to be $38/mo-$63/mo - with 3 different options).
They had a projector movie/show playing but it was barely visible - not bright enough to cut through the brightness of the...
Read moreI absolutely adore this place and I am so glad we got something like this! I went during their soft opening and twice since grand opening. I have definitely noticed some improvements since the soft opening which are great. It’s extremely cozy and they have a really great book selection of Romance, Romantasy, Fantasy and some Fiction and Thriller but mostly they specialize in Romance and Romantasy which is my cup of tea. It was a shame seeing people complain about this since that is what they are known for! It would be like me going to a non fiction book store and complaining there wasn’t any fiction lol! All the drinks I have had are delish, and they have a lot of bar seating. It’s really fun to read and hang out. I will say a few things I wish they had or could improve on is I think it would be amazing if they had a few really cool bookish art installs (think anthropology) around the space! They have so much room and I really think it would just be the cherry on top. They also have a corner back by mirror that has two small chairs. I think if they had a larger couch + chairs and a coffee table would be really cute and inviting and really just make this place amazing! Maybe this is something in their plan and are just waiting since they just opened but I think they really have an opportunity to utilize some space better and just absolutely knock it out...
Read more5 stars for the atmosphere, the drinks, treats and appeal. Iconic facility and very cozy with a fantastic aesthetic. I'd wanna come back alllll the time but find myself hesitant onlyyyy because the staff seemed generally annoyed by my inquiries and didn't seemed thrilled to be there. Didn't offer much help, even after I felt their annoyance & expressed that it was my first time in. My few interactions with the staff were definitely a turn off, which is super disappointing as I was so thrilled by the environment and extremely excited to be there. I guess I just wish the staff matched the welcoming and warm feel of the place itself! Still going with 5 stars for google though, I do love the location for what it is! Many small book themed gifts, candles lit making the air smell amazing and cozy. Most books are dark, YA romance which is my guilty pleasure. It's quiet and they have signs posted asking patrons to please step out to take phone calls which is...
