The most amazing man asked me to marry him and of course I said yes!! Gary suggested going ring shopping that weekend. I’m envisioning checking out one of the common chain jewelers. Gary mentions that he wants to start at a friends jewelry store that recently opened in Gillette. I’m game, can’t hurt to check it out right?!? From the moment we walked in the door of EK Jewelers, Erica went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. She spent a significant amount of time showing us different options that she had in house as well as modifications that could be made to make something more custom. She provided information on different stone qualities and let me look at them with her magnifier and pointed out interesting details of them. I’m sure I tried on every ring in the place two or three times, but kept gravitating back to the same couple of rings. One piece was something that was beautiful, but I wanted a couple of changes the other had the most stunning center diamond. I was wavering back and forth between the two trying to decide. Erica shared some of the history of the ring with the stunning center diamond that touched my heart and that is the ring we ultimately chose. I am so unbelievably happy with my ring!! It is stunning. Erica also work very hard to help Gary find his perfect ring. It was a fairy tale experience that I will never forget! She will definitely be our go-to for any future jewelry and I will sing her praises to anyone who will listen! Check out EK Jewelers, you will feel so blessed!!!! Disappointed. Zero service after the sale UNLESS you buy secondary insurance! My fiance at the time saw a ring at a franchise jewelery store in Rapid and fell in love with it. I wanted to buy local, so I got pics and info on the ring and went to EK Jeweler's to see if they could get it -or make it. (Similar to what I had done for 20+ years with Mike Burke's at Burke's Jeweler's.) They ended up having it made. Much to my surprise, when I went to pick up the engagement ring -and the subsequent wedding ring, the price was over $3800 more than the franchise store. Just about double the price of the other store. I was surprised but said ok because I want to buy local, so okay I paid the price. Then, months later (not years), the ring lost 2 diamonds. My wife goes in to have it looked at and repaired. They tell her we didn't buy the insurance, so the repair will be at least $1500 -possibly more. I told the wife, "h#ll no!" and took the ring to the other franchise store in Gillette. They replaced 2 diamonds and repaired the damaged prongs for $478. (It actually cost $680 to repair, but the manager stuck to the original quote and credited us the difference! Crazy.) The ring looks beautiful. The moral of the story, EK sells nice jewelry -but buy the secondary insurance....
