I give so many chances before a negative review. If you are just picking up food from the side door be prepared to wait and appear invisible! You ( or maybe just me) will have to walk to the bar to be sent back to the side door everytime! Maybe just maybe it is intentionally done for a reason! I guess staff just stares at me without asking to help me is because it's a normal thing to do...... Guess you can watch sports while the food gets cold! I received a message from Deletta, the manager. I called her and spoke about my experience. She was an amazing manager who took accountability. She is striving to make it better for all customers! She gave me a opportunity to come back and have a free meal with a great experience. I was always told that is not what you do wrong, but how you recover is very important. I am now a regular customer due to the management stepping up to fix my issues. He was so amazing, helpful, kind just over the phone. When I went to get my order he was out with my food very quickly. I could tell he was the person who answered the phone from his voice. He greeted me with a smile and I told him that he was so professional over the phone I literally forgot I was ordering food and thought I was on a business call. I thanked him for his humbleness. He is so handsome, speaks fluent Spanish and I absolutely loved him! This young man told me that he needed to hear my compliments and it made him smile. Through our conversation he felt like he let his team down due to past errors. I explained to him that is the way we learn and I see a team player that wants to be amazing! He expressed how he wish he knew how to work every area in give more to the team! He is highly motivated and his smile is contagious. I told him about my 1st experience at this location and how I'm now a regular customer! We learn, we grow, and we continue to strive to be amazing! That is what the manager at this location has also shown me! I literally feel like family now! I am very pleased with the accountability that was taken for the staff's behavior, and I can understand quality assurance may be difficult to optimize as high turnover rates continue on in the job market. With that said, I appreciate the acknowledgement and sincerity that GDG management has shown my fiancé and I. We will keep GDG on our dining radar. This place has great food, and I have had two good service experiences here (around July/Aug 2020 when restaurants in MD reopened). I am extremely disappointed in the service the two times I've come to dine in. But this last Saturday, was my final straw. My fiancé and I were seated quickly, however, after about a half hour to 45 mins, nobody talked to us, not even for our drink orders. I would've been less peeved if someone said they were "short staffed and we'll be right with you"; we would've understood. We had our menus closed in front of us after 15 mins to signal that we were set and ready to order. However, we were completely ignored the WHOLE time. There were surrounding tables being served and waited on by multiple servers, multiple times. Many of them had been served their food when we first sat down, and as we waited, we watched them fully finish their meals and pay for their checks to leave, as my fiancé and I were still not talked to by ANYONE. We tried waving down people, but no one looked at us. I don't think I've ever been straight up neglected at a restaurant before and I've never had to get up and walk out the way we did Saturday. The experience before this one was less than stellar as well -- the food came out after about 40mins and the server wasn't attentive at all. Read moreSoooooooo it's Mother's Day 2021 and we're looking for a place to eat. Glory Day's was at the top of our list of places to try to eat at. For whatever reasons, I thought they were at Arundel Mills. Got there and EVERYPLACE was packed. Realized we were about 10 minutes away. Got there and the parking lot looked a little sparse. My daughter got out and went to check on available seating. To my surprise, they had a booth available but for a table there was a wait. My party of five took a booth. The atmosphere was sport themed: lots of TV'S on every sport channel there is; few TV's on a kid channel; plenty of memorabilia around. Let the waitress know it was our first time there. Asked her what was good there: she replied "everything"!!!!! Our table order included crab dip (nice lumps of crab)and ranch wings-PERFECT!!! the Triple Combo which included 1/2 rack of ribs (freshly grilled and falling off the bone), 8 grilled or fried shrimp, four HUGE tenders and sides which included Jasmine rice, cornbread (lip smacking), side Caesar salad (very filling), sweet potato fries( crispy and hot and GOOD)!!!!!! We also had Shrimp Linguine and Chicken Tenders and fries. Various sodas and teas. One Peach frozen margarita- The BOMB. Funnel Cake Fries for dessert (YUMMY).
