Read moreOooo. Service guy was nice but didnt really look into the problem I was having with my G6. Said only solution was to factory reset. The Problem: error process com.Android.phone has stopped working..would literally pop up every 2 seconds along with repeating to show the same text messages as new incoming every 2 seconds. So my inbox for texts was up to 999+ super annoying to trouble shoot. He said wow that's interesting cuz this lady over there is having the same problem we dont know whats happening and the only thing thing we suggest is a factory reset. My phone being 2 months from end of lease I figured might be best to get new and transfer data/apps. Talked with saleswoman. Last thing she sows me is good deal on LG v40. Regular $760. 30/mo. For 18mo. But i can get 15/mo if i buy a case and screen protector, about $100+ I asked so i can only get the deal if I buy case and screen protector? Asked twice. Answer yes. Turns out they didn't have in stock so I decided to marinate on it. Went to Marshall Wireless in Edwardsville. One of the guys there troubleshot my phone with me for about 15 min called in backup. Still couldnt get it to stop repeated errors and texts. So askked if the had that same deal on LG V 40. They said yes aaaannd turns out this is the real deal: NO I do NOT have to buy case and screen protector aaand the 15/mo is only for 18mo then its 30mo for 6mo. So the phone total cost is NOT 360 it wouldve been 450 PLUS case and screen protector 100 is around 560. Now while getting the lowdown on all of this it dawned on me to try one more thing to fix errors....the common denominator....messenger. I went to Apps Messenger vertical three dots in upper right hand corneruninstall updates. Problem immediately fixed! Im not a tech guy. These folks are supposed to be. How some idiot like myself managed it and all they wanted to do is factory reset which leads a person to just get new phone is scandalous. That poor lady having same problem got her stuff reset then her email wouldnt go back on. Ill never buy from the Fairview sprint store. Id rather switch carriers than patronize swindlers. Now the shop in Eville is not a service shop so cant blame them and at least they tried to help which is more than Fairview store. And they didnt try to milk the sale. Ill go leave an appropriate review at their page. As for these guys 1 star for misleading sales and letting me fix...
Honestly after being an 8 year customer of Sprint we are disgusted enough by the service and salesmanship of manager Doug and associate Jeff to break our contract and pay the $400 early termination fee. Jeff encouraged my husband and I to add our son to our plan and promised it would be $30 per month. We asked multiple times as he was only 10 years old and we did not want to pay much for a phone for him. We decided that we would pay the $360 per year in order to give him a phone so that he could contact us if he was in trouble while out in the neighborhood or riding his bicycle. Jeff sold us a plan that actually did not have free service. The free service only applied to new clients and we were existing customers. We signed the contract assuming what he told us verbally was correct. After I got my first bill I was told that we did not cancel within 14 days so that I had no recourse. Furthermore we were told that despite what was verbally told us since we signed the contract we had to uphold it. My son's phone line which was supposed to be $360 for the entire year was instead $900 so I was paying $900 for a 10-year-old to have a phone. Not only were Jeff and Doug incredibly rude and unhelpful but they also told me I was not allowed to discuss the situation in the store in front of other customers as it would hurt their sales. I have since contacted corporate in closed out my account as well as switch to a new carrier. I have truly never experienced such terrible customer service.I implore anyone in the area to avoid purchasing at the store at all costs. If you do love Sprint and go to another location as I guarantee if things do not add up you will not receive support...
Read moreLast Sunday I called to cancel the home internet I tried. The rep indicated I would be emailed a shipping label. I got the email but no shipping label. On Monday I used the chat feature to see about getting the shipping label but was told it couldn't be provided without the invoice number on the receipt and was told I could return the device to any store. This morning, January 27, 2024 I walked into the Glen Carbon IL store and was not greated but immediately told by the assistant manager we can't take devices back. I told him I have the email that the shipping label was supposed to be on but the label was missing. He didn't care, nor was he willing to help. When I told him I was told I could return the device to a store he only sat there and said he couldn't take it. I've never seen a lazier excuse for an employee let alone someone that is an assistant manager. If anyone is looking for TMobile I suggest going somewhere else. Whoever the manager is needs to do some serious customer service training with your staff and find a new assistant manager if you want to keep...
