I don't like writing bad reviews but for this IHOP it is necessary for two reasons: a long line of victims were still waiting in line when we left and sooo much room for improvement.
Visited the day before Christmas Eve after a 5hr long car ride for breakfast. Took a 15 min detour before another 10 hrs to NOLA. Skipped all other options for an IHOP and left with an upset stomach and much disappointment.
1)Long wait with plenty of empty tables. Another wait after being seated. Another after ordering. 2) Out of crepes, then also bananas. 3) Ordered: steak tips and eggs breakfast with extra extra crispy hash browns. Received: one inch thick slab of mashed potatoes without any brown crust, whatsoever. Scrambled eggs likely from less than one egg. Six pieces of steak tips with more onions than steaks. 4) Gluten free pancakes: must have visited twenty IHOPs since the pandemic. I always get the GF and they are always thin. These were half inch thick and underooked/ maybe not GF?? Most likely the reason for my upset stomach. I asked the server but was reassured that a tootpick means GF. My stomach disagrees. 5) Had ro find my own syrup from other tables that had not been cleaned up. 6) Received many apologies from our server who was trying to smile through this disaster. I really wanted to be understanding because I know that running a restaurant is hard thankless work, good help is hard to find, servers don't cook the meals etc. But you just shouldn't open if you...
Read moreJust my wife and I on a Sunday, so we knew it would be a little busy, which it wasn't too bad. The table had an open bottle of hot sauce, which was a bit crusty. They took our order, which we ordered the same thing breakfast burritos and two pancakes, with coffee. We never received our coffee until I said something after the food got sat down, and the waitress apologized and sat down a single cup of coffee for my wife. The burritos had old tortillas, which clearly were microwaved, and the insides all, though very skimpy on food, were lacking bacon, eggs, and hollandaise sauce with mushy hashbrowns The pancakes were good, though. I sent mine back, but my wife tried to be nice. I tried to eat hers and got through most of it. I helped her by keeping the gnats (in December) away from her. We received the check, which they did take my meal off. But I made sure to charge my wife ($4) for her late, single cup of coffee, which no refills were offered or given. We went to pay it at the front counter like all Ihops but a sign saying pay the table forced us back. $20 for 1 cup of coffee, 1 microwaved burrito, 2 pancakes. This was very disappointing. update I reached out to the email and number provided below and after giving them my info they promised atleast a coupon for my troubles, weeks later, I received nothing....
Read moreDecided to go in after a morning at the doctor and labwork. Went in and waited for a waitress to finally come take our drink order, she came back and told me they didn'thave my flavor, so I chose another and she went to get it. Then I was never even brought a drink, my husband finally had to flag her down and before he could say it she said she realized. Kept waiting and waiting and my son was getting reckless and very hungry. We finally tried to get another waitress, but she was busy so my husband went up to the desk and our server finally came back and she said she'd go check, then came back out and said they don't have your ticket, it was never put in. It wasn't said with an apology or anything. We would have thought after waiting for an hour and having to ask for my drink (our drinks empty by this point) and then having to track her down because we hadn't seen her and everyone around us, that even came in after was getting their food and had even left, with that type of news you'd be coming back with a manager. Nope, I've never in my life had to just up and walk out of a restaurant like that. I'll never be back, but there doesn't seem to be any care there. She delivered the news, then just...
