I accompanied my mom to get her new cell phone on Sunday June 30, I am posting comment now as transaction has just recently finished -the short version of the story: she is now a customer of ATT, paying less than at Verizon for same apparatus and receiving way better (faster, kinder and most importantly very respectful) service from ATT just two blocks down on Roosevelt Road. Hereâs the whole story: Our interaction with the salesman Vivek and the service we received at Verizon TCC Roosevelt Rd Glen Ellyn on June 30 was adequate - though not exceptional. We were offered a promotion for an iwatch that day which my mom decided to accept- however they did not have the watch in stock on that day - Vivek thought it would arrive the next week and said he would let us know. He did call to let my mom know the watch had arrived the next week - unfortunately my mom was sick and wasnât able to pick it up for a couple weeks- she never imagined this would be a problem nor did I since we believed we had accepted and paid for the watch already and, in effect, it would be only our loss not getting it sooner than later. When my sister went back with her to pick it up a couple weeks later when my mom was feeling better, Vivek told them that the watch had been sent back because two weeks had passed and the promotion had ended. My sister explained that my mom had been sick and that we hadnât been told about the two week deadline. Vivek was adamant that he had told my mom and I about the deadline while still in the store when we accepted the offer and yet I am in fact sure that is not the case as we didnât even know when the watch would be coming in. In response to my sisterâs explanation, he was rude, condescending and arrogant - and made the comment âlife happens â, boasting his many years of sales experience as evidence that he always tells his customers all pertinent information. His attitude was so callous, it was not even the watch that mattered at that point- it was the ridiculously bad and disrespectful customer service that mattered and despite the hassle and time it took, my mom decided to forget about the watch, return the phone and cancel her Verizon account. She signed up at ATT (two blocks down on Roosevelt), got the same phone, a better deal on monthly service, and received excellent service from knowledgeable and kind sales people with little or no wait time. (Note : When my sister complained to Verizon Corporate, and visited the real Verizon store in Danada, they were incredibly helpful and apologetic- therefore we believe that the problem was the salesman Vivek and the TCC store. We also understand that any salesperson can have a bad day and forget to give information - and a little humility on the part of Vivek and an ounce of respect and compassion towards my mom would have...
Read morethe two people who typically work at this location are super helpful in explaining what products they have and what youâll get. what they leave out is the ACTUAL cost of the product that youâre getting. they give you a price that is too good to pass up so you agree and sign here and there. i had switched lines on my brand new iphone 15 last october when it first came out after i preordered it so i was supposed to get $800 off my new phone with trade in and was specifically told i did NOT have to trade in my old apple watch and i would receive a free apple watch with my phone. when picking up my phone i was told that the trade in of my apple watch was required⌠weird? but okay. when i was switching my phone over to a new line i was NOT made aware of the fact that with this line change that i would be charged the full amount for my phone because the promotion was not able to be transferred to my new line. if i had known that i would have saved the trouble of tranferring my line, making a my verizon account and everything that came with that and saved myself almost a THOUSAND dollars (which i am still paying for now on my incredibly high phone bill). my brother has just gotten the iphone 16 im assuming preordered as well and is now also shocked by how much his phone bill is per month because these people are simply liars. slippery sales people who will do ANYTHING to trick people into over paying for these devices. maybe not even overpaying but telling you a lower amount so you can be surprised when your bill comes around. iâve tried to report this store for fraudulence but the customer service reps say âit will be taken care of this fridayâ âa few more daysâ and continue to do this until youâre worn out enough that itâs not even worth the effort to file this report anymore. this store is a scam. this company is a scam. this phone service is a scam. not to mention the nationwide outage to make 3.3 billion dollar profit as if they didnât already have enough money in their pockets off of us. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE THEY WILL LIE AND SPIT IN YOUR FACE WITH A...
Read moreThis review is for Alex! (Sheâs the one with the really cool turquoise highlights in her hair)
Sunday morning I woke up to a dead phone that wouldnât turn on. After 7 minutes of phone saving measures (holding down the power button for dear life) i got it to turn back on with only 7% battery life, but it would not accept a charge from any source. In my moto z4âs final moments, I watched the life leave from its cold screen, doing my very best to save all the documents and photos in it. I tore off the case and screen protector, doing everything I could to revive it; I was unsuccessful so I drove around for what seemed like hours (about a good 90 minutes) looking for a nearby phone hospital. Every Verizon around me was closed on Sunday, Cell Phone Repair was closed, batteries+bulbs doesnât work on moto Z4âs (Because it was a Motorola. It is Two Thousand Twenty. Unreal.)
I was on my way home defeated by the day of the week and store hours, when I came across the Glen Ellyn location and was saved by Saint Alex of Verizon. She is very knowledgeable and sweet, she is the tech expert angel that works on Sundayâs; because of her, I was able to call my concerned grandmother and let her know that I was not passed out in a ditch. Alex has a great attitude with her customers, she knows how to multitask and is very fast paced. She deserves a lifetime supply of Dr. Pepper. She also has that Verizon Wireless location smelling better than that ânew plasticâ scent I can smell at other locations.
Thank you so much, Alex, for assisting me on Sunday, October 4th at approximately 12:30pm in the year of the covid. You keep a super clean and awesome location, I will be back to that location in the near future. I received a new phone (same phone) 6 hours later after I met with Alex. The phone was brought to me, at my home by a delivery driver, and I didnât have to miss a moment of football. You might pay a little more with Verizon, but this is what youâre guaranteed. Thank you, Alex!!!! â¤ď¸ Iâm gonna make sure the next time I come in, Iâll call ahead so I can bring you a 2...
