Newton Park — Attraction in Glen Ellyn

Above Newton Park, the sky spreads far and wide and you can trace the flight of a distant plane amidst the clouds while your partner chases a tennis ball across the court…there’s a decent hill from which to survey the landscape, a basketball court and a skateboarding area. It’s a good long walk around the perimeter of it all. There’s a playground in one area of the site as well. There’s a football field too....

Great park with multiple sports and activities available. There is a recently installed turf field lined for football, soccer and lacrosse. There is a baseball field, tennis courts, basketball court, and an excellent sledding hill. As well, in the winter the park district turns the tennis courts into a hockey rink.

Tucked away from the busier roads is this gem of a park. The playground is great for 12 and under kiddos. The park also features a sledding hill and ice rink seasonally, a turf field, picnic tables, a sensory garden, and a short but meandering sidewalk.
