TLDR: they mixed meat into a vegetarian burrito because they don't know anything about cross contamination and (allegedly) failed their last food safety audit. DO NOT step foot in this location. Go to the Butterfield Rd. location in Downers Grove if you are in the area, they are much better and cleaner.
One of the burritos ordered was a vegetarian burrito with sofritas for someone who follows a strict vegetarian diet due to health concerns and moral reasons. Upon biting into the burrito there was clearly undercooked, pink beef in the burrito. This made the burrito completely inedible and also created an uncomfortable situation once the person realized they had accidentally eaten meat. When trying to contact the store to voice this complaint, the line disconnected as soon as I selected to speak with a team member. The order also was not completed until 30 minutes after the estimated time. I have never had any issues like this at the Butterfield Road location in Downers Grove, IL, and I have ordered from them tens of times over the years. This was a completely unnecessary upsetting situation that could have easily been avoided had the employees of this restaurant been properly trained on cross contamination. It makes me wonder what other health hazards they have going on...
Read moreI’m a huge fan of Chipotle, order from there all the time. But the Chipotle in Glen Ellyn has really gone downhill post Covid. I got in the habit of ordering online from there but 90% of the time my food isn’t ready at the promised time. Now I add 10-15 minutes and guess what, it’s still not ready. Tonight I showed up 10 minutes past the promised time and they hadn’t even started making my food yet because they’re helping walk-ins. When I point out to the cashier my foods not ready she says they’re making it now. I then proceeded to watch them bypass my now 30 minute old order to keep helping people who just walked in. Which after complaining a 2nd time they finally started to make. What’s the point of ordering online if your order isn’t made until everyone else? If that’s not the case they have one person making food and 6 others getting ready for close 2-3 hours early. This store is run by a bunch of teenagers who are far more concerned with closing and going home than helping customers (evidenced by all the chairs being put up an hour before close). Of course after having to complain twice to get them to even make my food I find about 3 pieces of meat in my...
Read moreI’ve been going to this location for years simply because it’s been close to my house. Tonight might have been the last straw. Almost every time I order to go, the food is not ready on time. Fine. I get it. It’s busy and they may be short staffed. I can forgive 5-10 minutes. But tonight we were in a hurry and had an order for pickup at 6:10. I’m writing this literally sitting in the dining room still waiting for our order at 6:50 PM. 40 minutes late is unacceptable. Unfortunately, the delays are a regular occurrence here, and are often accompanied by missing (or totally lacking) ingredients. Really upsetting for a $50 meal. I will say the woman running To Go tonight was very friendly which, also unfortunately, is a rarity for this location. I’ll gladly travel the extra 10 minutes from now on to go to the other location nearby.
EDIT: they directed me to their app. I filled out the information and it simply said, “your order was delivered on time.” Uhhh. No it wasn’t....
