TL;DR This is the guy you want when you have a not so simple audio/visual electronic installation!

Background of the problem - We had moved into a house where the previous owners had the tv on a wall in the living room which just wasn’t right. There was an obvious central wall where the television belonged, however, there was StackStone on the wall, no nearby electrical outlets and there was a fireplace.

I had spoken to a few different peope - electricians who would create the outlet but wouldn’t touch the stone or move the television, we had found people who would do the television but wouldn’t do electrical. We were told by people that the job, while seeming simple, was actually quite complex which was why the television wasn’t there in the first place.

So I tried Steven at SG… First impressions were amazing, I rang him up, he answered straight away, I talked him through the issue, he advised me to book through the website so I could see availability, he stayed on the phone while I did that in case I wasn’t sure of something.

Steven was actually able to come out the next day for a quote and was on time. Within 10 seconds of looking at the wall he knew exactly what needed to be done and how he would do it. He outlined what he would do which was the same as what a few other electricians had said, the only difference being, he would do everything including the wall.

Steven was able to do the job 5 days later, considering it involved drilling through stack stone and wall mounting a 65 inch television I was very impressed he could do it all by himself.

Also, I want to mention that Steven went above and beyond with the quality of fittings used. I explained I wanted 4 outlets rather than 2 where the tv was to be fitted, he was happy to purchase with surge protection rather than just the cheap sockets at no extra cost to me.

Steven had been working in 110 degree heat outside, I’d spotted a minor issue with the junction box after he left. Even though I’d already paid him he came out the next day to sort the problem. I’ve had problems with other businesses in the past where once they’ve been paid they’ve had no interest.

Steven is such a friendly, polite, knowledgeable person, this is the man you want for these...

These guys are badass. I had two TV's for them to install.

Originally I told them I had a bracket for the 75" TV and turns out it wasn't included in the box - We found out when they arrived. I had only asked for a bracket for our 50" TV.

I was ready to hightail it to Best Buy to buy the 75" bracket for at least 6 times the price that SG provided it for. They actually had a mount for the 75" on the truck that worked perfect for us. He had a few choices right there and we went with the flush mount.

They cut in a new TRUE power outlet super fast, using romex wire (up to code), and installed pass through covers for the HDMI cables in both rooms so that no wiring was visible on the walls. Steven helped me decide on the height and location to install the TV's.

They reconnected all our devices (sound bar, fire cubes, etc...) and configured the wireless and and everything else needed to just sit back and turn the TV's on.

They had all the right tools including a vacuum to clean up afterwards. Not too many tradesmen understand the importance of those details.

Steven's wife, who I first called to see what their prices and availability would be, was very knowledgeable (she installs the TV's as well, as Steve told me). She knew all of the options and prices right off the top of her head, not to mention she was super friendly. I was given an appointment with a 2 hour window, that was not weeks out but just days out.

On the day of the install I received a text with their current location on a map and accurate times of arrival, so I was able to leave my shop and meet them there instead of losing two hours waiting at home.

As an owner of a business myself, these guys knocked the customer service and work requested out of the park.

I rarely write reviews, but Steven was such a cool guy (as well as his employee.) They kept great conversation throughout the whole install. Not to mention the outstanding job they did. I decided I owed them a review that they deserved.

Again SG is badass in my book.

SG installations was a life saver for me throughout the entire process. I had two of my tv’s mounted and completely hiding the cables from being seen and hiding the cables of a tv that I had previously mounted without them (which they even made that mount job look significantly better). They gave the usual four hour window and showed up within the first hour of their estimated time rather than the very last minute which is common with most services people provide with estimations. The owner himself is involved in all the work that is done within the company so he takes his job seriously and you can tell he really enjoys providing the best possible service and results with each customer. They were very friendly with me and had enjoyable conversation and recommendations for things throughout the entire time they were working. They provided me with a mantle mount which is a unique mount that not too many people know about however they had the exact product I wanted which other companies I know do not. I absolutely love the work they provided for me and will definitely be recommending them to people in the future! Their work speaks for itself and their prices are amazing and were 1/3 the price of a competitor in the industry that’s quote was given to me. I will be using them in the near future to mount my gaming pc which is another service they provide. I personally never give reviews on companies but these guys I believe deserve every bit of recommendation because they’re the top of the industry...
