Sadly I know Holiday's can be hard in retail for both employees as well as customers. But I was disappointed in the staff of the store. I was in an isle and needed help with an item to confirm the price of and item which he did and it want the one I was looking for but very similar. Then he told me to go and look for someone else to see if we had the one I was looking for in the over stock? I reluctantly did becuse I thought perhaps he was part-time help for holidays or A part of a sinor employee program? No disrespect intended. So I asked for help form a young lady meet me in self checkout lien she told me to ask the man in the isle, which I replied I already did and he asked me to ask someone else. Another older employee next to her suggested the same. And I repeated what I was told. At that point I located the over stock myself up on the overhead shelf which you needed a store ladder to reach. So while I was waiting to see if someone was going to help me as my else mother had already shopped and left the store I called you he stored on my cell phone and asked for someone Willing to take responsibility finally I got to speak to a manger and I wasn't rude Though by this time a bit annoyed..I asked would someone willing to take responsibility please come to the ilse I was in so I could get the help I needed". This was also that I had also worked in hardware retail myslef earlier in life so I understood the flow of things as well as appropriate training and store policies. Eventually I saw a person at the other end of the isle not the same employee but a different guy at that point I asked would he pleas go get a ladder and pull down an out of stock item. I told him the number as I had a picture of it and the sku number from off my phone. He did and I was finally on my way to self check out 15- 20 minutes later. I of course went to self checkout beicse I did not want to wait any longer on the abilities it willingness of employees to take responsibility to help the customers that are ultimately paying their wages, helping to keep them employed. I was dasapointed that when a pace is diy it also means do their jobs too? But this is a management issue. I often wonder why employees are either not crossed trained or assigned to specific isles so there is at least one present at all times. There is always work with customer support and education, as well testockein and facing product. Bottom line even though it is close to my home. I would consider going the extra few miles to the Burbank store as it is way more organized and the help has always been a priority if needed. Parking is better there too. But if you are sure they will have it in stock and you don't mind spending more of your time waiting to someone to assist you go here. I have gotten out of Ikea faster lol. Hope this helps as I don't like giving bad reviews. But I will be honest to hopeful help others. Maybe this will be read by someone who had influence to make their store great again?...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst store that I have dealt with. Tried to purchase 2 hatchets for camping, the website indicated they had 12. Go into the store and the shelf is empty. Asked an employee for help and he spent 30 minutes looking at the same 3 shelves and checking his phone that said there are 12. Got another employee who did the same thing as the first employee. Sent me to customer service for more help. Manager looked up the product and saw that they had 12 in stock. Called another employee to check the same shelf. Still could not find them. Figured out they were on the truck that was being unloaded and suggested that I place an online order for store pickup. This way they would pull the items and have them ready for me.
Ok I placed the order. The store called me later that night to let me know the order was ready and I could pick it up the next day. Received an email stating the order was ready to be picked up.
The next day the order was cancelled by the store with no explanation as to why it was cancelled. I go to the store to get the items and the employee told me it was cancelled because I was going to come on and pick up the hatchets. Ok fine do you have them, nope the shelf is empty. Must still be on the truck. 45 minutes later still cannot find them! Finally gave up and left.
Unfortunately this is not the first time I have have problems ordering items from this location, but it will be the last time as I will never return...
Read moreIf you buy a major appliance from Home Depot in Glendale, CO beware. They do not stand behind the products they sell. We purchased an LG dishwasher in December 2020. In February 2021 the dishwashers control panel cracked. Home Depot never responded to initial emails and an extended warranty was purchased. LG was contacted and A&E was the service technicians sent out to the house. A manufacture defect was confirmed and then nothing happened. I went back to the Home Depot in Glendale emailed several more times and their answer was we will take the dishwasher then give you, your money back in 5 to 10 days after we pick it up. I asked Home Depot to stand behind the products they sell and I was told that is not "their policy" . Babbette Leko is responsible for major appliance issues, she only responds after several attempts and multiple complaints to department managers, her own manager does not ever respond. Adam Goddard, was abusive/rude on the phone when I did not agree to allow them to charge my credit again for another dishwasher and then they will swap them out and credit me back for the broken one. It is completely unacceptable that a Billion dollar corporation does not stand behind the products. We are doing many renovations projects and will not be purchasing any further products from Home Depot because...
