I stopped here on a whim. Hubby was getting his car worked on nearby and we walked around the same shopping plaza for a bit. Mom gave me a silver and turquoise ring that belonged to her sister who passed before I was born. This ring is ancient! Auntie got the ring with defects in it. She thought it added to the value. The defects bothered me, though. I was afraid to lose the stone inside. I noticed the jewelry hospital and saw they do "southwest" jewelry repairs, so I stopped in. Oleg talked me through the defects, pointing out everything I had already seen on this heirloom of mine, quoted me a very reasonable price and timeline. I missed my ring while it was here, but hoped it would be done soon. They called back a day earlier than expected and it is beautiful! It was stated they almost did a whole new ring, but the price quoted was what I paid. I took a couple of watches in to have them checkeed out. One was a women's Tiffany 14K gold. The repair place I had been going to told me it would be $350 to get it working as the battery had eaked and there was a coil problem. I though that a little high so I came here to see what was what. Turns out there was no battery in the watch and the mechanism looked like it had never been shown the lght of day, in other words perfect. All Oleg had to do was put a battery in and it's it working like a charm. I also brought in a fake rolex to see if he could get it working so I could give it to my son. I was unfortunately scammed by a company pretending to be Kay Jewelers online. When I was disputing the charges with my credit card I needed a statement from a jeweler about the jewelry I had received. The actual Kay Jewelers would NOT help me! That's when I thought of Oleg at the Jewelry Hospital. I went in with the jewelry, and explained what happened. I always go to Oleg for the best watch batteries ever, and I knew he was a great person. He helped me get the letter I needed for my credit card company, and even said they could call him if they had any questions. I always recommend The Jewelry Hospital to everyone that needs watch batteries, or jewelry repair; but after his help today I wanted to make sure EVERYONE knew what an awesome person he is, on top of being an awesome jeweler.
