LUXE Salon — Local services in Glendora

I want to start by saying the salon itself is beautiful, and the front desk staff was kind and professional. Unfortunately, my experience with the stylist I worked with, Faith, was disappointing.

I came in for blonde low lights and paid $300 for the session, I will also note that the front desk girl quoted me when I was making the appointment that it would be between$100 - $150. Although I was not shocked to find out it was more. I understand that going light can take time, and I appreciated that she was careful with my hair. But the final result turned out much more yellow than expected, especially in the front, and didn't feel blended. After only a couple washes (with color safe shampoo), the toner faded quickly within 10 days I was super unhappy with how it was looking.

When I reached out to express my concerns, Faith didn't seem open to helping or even really listening. Instead of offering a solution or trying to work with me, she just blamed it on the fact that I have box dyed my hair a few years ago, the shampoo I use, and insisted the result was normal even though I was clear about what I wanted from the start. She told me I could come in for a toner but would need to pay another $65.

What was most frustrating wasn't just the color it was that she wasn't accommodating at all and didn't seem interested in helping me feel good about my hair. I wasn't looking for a free service, just some support or effort to make things right after spending $300.

I'm sharing this review not to bash the salon, but to give an honest account of how I was treated. I walked away feeling dismissed and disappointed, I don't feel comfortable going back to Faith as she seemed incredibly annoyed and defensive as I was trying to find a solution for...

I went in requesting a balayage with no hopes of getting it to where she got me in one shot. That was my experience when I walked into Luxe Salon today for the 1st time to meet with Lina Ali. From the moment I stepped foot in the front door I was greeted, asked if I wanted coffee or water before I met with Lina. Lina took me in on an emergency basis from a bad hair experience earlier that morning. I called her and she accomadated her schedule to help me from my devastation. She rescued me to fix someone’s else’s bad work with welcoming open arms. She made me feeling absolutely beautiful when she was done with me, I can’t wait for my next appointment....
