Having a previous stay while in town to party next door at Glendora continental, I felt safe recommending and sharing a room here with a friend, again, both visiting for local events for a long weekend. Checked in Friday evening,|went to bed around 11pm and by midnight was at the front desk with my left eye swolen shut and my right arm swolen and inflamed. Andy didnt have another room but in the morning he and housekeeping came in, checked the bed and said they'd do a THOROUGH cleaning including washing bedspread and blanket while we were out Saturday. Meanwhile I got some over the counter remedies and tried to enjoy the weekend events that were planned. I spent the rest of the trip, and next two weeks appearing bruised and abused and was itching profusely in spite of cortisone cream and benadryl. On my third night in the same room, (prepaid for 3 nights) I was again attacked, this time the back of my neck and other arm. The next morning I found a bug in my bath water that resembled a ladybug in size and shape, except dark colored with antenna. I removed it from the tub water and placed it on the counter. It soon dried out and started to move. Scared then, I put it in an ashtray with water. Checking out, I presented this bug to Andy's wife as he was unavailable. They are live in managers. I asked for a refund and was refused. At the time and all subsequent conversations, Glendora Motel has been unsympathetic, defensive and uncooperative. Days later I visited the dermatologist who said I wss bitten by bed bugs and that they dont feed consistently but rsther engorge, then skip nights. I then googled bed bugs and the bug I found was an engorged bed bug, full of my blood. How is it a motel manager and inspect a bed, clain it is clean, then not know an engorged bed bug when he sees it. This has caused me considerable discomfort but above that, It left me in fear I could have brought them home.|I am angry that he is unwilling to admit their presence as that leads me to believe he'll do nothing to eradicate them. I am retired and well traveled on a budget but I will never return to Glendora Motel and this is the first negative review I've ever given. ...

Read moreBEWARE!!! DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give less than 1 star, I would. These people steal your money, overcharge you, they don't have doors on the bathroom in some of the rooms, THEN they refuse to listen to any complaints. I even had to call the police but even they couldn't get any results. The male manager started a problem with my then girlfriend saying I had men in my room, and then they refused to give me my deposit back even though the room was spotless when I left it. They demanded I supply them with the registration card for my support animal (my dog for which I DO have the proper documents, and it's also illegal for them to demand such documents as per the Americans with Disabilities Act) They are shady crooks and all they care about is money, even though they...
