This is just a small hometown restaurant in Glendora, my second hometown. You may be curious--why "Vault"? Because the restaurant really does have a vault, or at least a vault door, embedded into the wall. This location used to be The First National and Savings Bank in 1907, and later became Bank of America in 1937. It's only a walking distance from my home. A very good small restaurant, especially for brunch outdoors, watching neighbors walk by. The service was kind and thoughtful--they even put water outside for the dogs. The food was classic, always tasted good. You don't have to drive all the way here for dinner, but it's definitely recommended if you live nearby.

Disappointed! I thought highly of this place, and the reviews motivated me to go here. The service was terrible. It took a long time to place our order, employees even avoided eye contact, no coffee or water refill, food was cold by the time we got it to our table since it was waiting to be pick up for quite a while. There was a fly 🪰 in the restaurant no surprise as they had dirty dishes right at the entrance. It was not clean overall. Lastly, the food did not taste good 😕

This restaurant is located in downtown Glendora on the same side and just north (think mountains) of Bank of America. The food was I'll be back good". The service was welcoming. There is indoor and outdoor seating. There is ample parking near and in surrounding areas. The prices are notably competitive with plenty of combos. The best part, was the classic (not Belgian) waffle, topped with fresh strawberries, bananas, and real not pastry tasting whip cream.

I don't know if it's new owners or new cooks but this place has become HORRIBLE. The food used to be amazing, especially the home fries. Our food today was horrible. I had the chicken fajita omelet. Stated it's seasoned grilled chicken breast. Wrong. Boiled unseasoned chicken. It was disgusting. I put SO much salt on it just to make it edible. The bacon was hard as a rock but not burned. It must have been really old. The home fries are totally bland. Very sad to see the quality of food go down this much. The older waitress has the personality of a dish rag. If you've been waitressing for 28 years and you treat everyone like they're bothering you, maybe it's time to retire. Apparently only regulars getting treated well here. Everyone here seems rather miserable. I don't blame them. The ceiling tiles are falling in. The entire establishment is old and dilapidated. There's way too many places that serve food that's actually edible to patron an establishment of...

The Village Vault is tough to review. It's a great location. The restaurant is attractive, light, and airy. The service is casual, friendly and generally competent. The food is not terribly inspired, but is fundamentally competent as well. Yet somehow this place doesn't live up to the sum of its parts. The food feels like it ought to be better, although there's nothing in particular to complain about. The service always seems to have a glitch here and there, but nothing significant and generally I've been happy with it. I've been here about three times, and always leave feeling like it ought to have been a little better. Would I go back? Yeah, if other places in the area were overwhelmed. Would I deliberately seek the Village Vault out for a...

This is a gem! It's located in old town on a quiet shady corner. Easy drive and easy to find. Not easy to decide what to eat but whatever you decide on, breakfast lunch or Friday night dinner, you will not go wrong. Make sure you leave room for pie! The staff is friendly, helpful, attentive and kind. Rare these days. Highly appreciated. Wheelchair friendly and plenty of room to maneuver. Once again though the staff was attentive, making sure enough room ahead of time, removing chair from table ahead of time. The food was great but it was the staff that knocked it out of the park with the attention to details that handicapped do not usually see or receive. I may only be here once a month but you have gained loyal customer...
