Really enjoyed this place. Was recommended to try from our family. I only wish they would have a closer location towards the Inland Empire. While searching it seems like there is another location, but for some reason there is a Junior to this location, would love to know why that name is added here. Anyways the two people working were so nice and helpful. We wanted to sit outside, so they ended up turning on two heat lamps so that we wouldn’t be cold.
The food came out fast, and the first thing that came was the hummus and pita bread we ordered, which kept us from being hungry but was really good. Keep note that some of the other dishes have pita bread so you could use those to continue to eat with the hummus. The hummus is not included in the other plates.
I recommend the 2 combo, it was huge ! It had a nice pepper, some sort of sausage that was called lulu on the menu, chicken and beef, and rice. Even the rice was very flavorful. The other two things I would recommend is the lamb chops and the Beef Shawarma Fries. The Lamb chops were full of flavor and not gamey at all. The fries were crispy and the beef had a different marinade, that went really well with the fries.
Overall had an amazing experience and would definitely come back again if I was in the area. Like I said I wished there was good Mediterranean food towards the inland Empire like this place....
Read moreI had the lule kebab and Armenian coffee to drink, and my partner had the beef shawarma fries. The kebab was delightfully seasoned, and pleasantly juicy. The rice and grilled tomatoes and peppers were good as well, and I happily wrapped it all up in the flatbread that came with my order. My omly wish was a little tzatziki to really complete the ensemble.
I quite enjoyed my Armenian coffee, though you should be in the mood for a strong cup like espresso if you order it. For me at the time, it was perfect.
I tried the shawarma fries as well, and my partner and I both were very pleased with them. It's a filling plate for one, and quite splittable for you and a friend.
Our table and seating were clean, and service was attentive and friendly, if admittedly a bit lacking in the hustle department (it did take a few minutes just to get a menu). Thankfully, once we ordered, we were well-attended to, otherwise I would dock for this.
Altogether, a very good Mediterranean joint, and a place I'd recommend if you're in the area and down for some kebab or shawarma. I'd also recommend sitting outside on their charming streetside deck if the weather's permitting; one of the unintended consequences of 2020 is that street space has opened up for outdoor seating, and I say embrace it for as long as you can. As for myself, I'm likely to go...
Read moreThe service was HORRIBLE! I ordered a lentil soup at the counter and was told to sit anywhere I liked. As I sat down I watched as the table of three in front of me was greeted and handed menus. Water was brought to them, my soda was brought to me. 10 minutes later, I still didnt have my soup so I asked the waiter to please make it to go since I wouldn't have time to sit down and enjoy it. 5 minutes later, still no soup, but the table in front of me gets their 3 plates of food with rice and some type of meat. A couple of minutes go by, still no soup so I stop a waitress and tell her that I ordered way before that table and still hadn't gotten my soup. I take out $2 and ask her if that will cover the soda. She says hold on and asks the waiter something and he points to the back. She comes back with a paper bag with a soup container and what looks like a hand full of pita chips thrown into the bag. I go to pay. The waiter rings it up and puts the receipt on the counter and asked me to sign one for him then walks away. I haven't been here for a while, but obviously some changes have been made. Brought the soup back to work and it wasn't bad, but the service ruined it. I lost...
