Great furniture selection and service. Didnt buy anything. Too pricey. But to be fair, it's because they offer old school, well made furniture that is harder to find in targets and walmarts and even places like value city.
Edit: I was in the market for a living room set and decided to make a purchase from the Yorktown location. Theres a fair selection from high end to affordable and I found something perfect within my price range with the help of the amazing staff at this location.
The true purpose of my updated review however is to give credit to the super supportive and understanding staff at this location. Since placing my initial order, I have upgraded and changed fabrics 3 seperate times, and EVERY single time Robin and Jim have been nothing less than accommodating and helpful. Even with the struggles of a new ordering system and a frustrated guest on premises during our initial visit, their service did not waver with us and I felt completely catered to. As someone that works in the retail industry, I know how frustrating this can be, and this team was nothing less than stellar in their service. Robert's is lucky to have such wonderful employees and I want them to know that I will forever continue to come to them first with my home furnishing needs based solely on their employees. Read moreI will start off by saying that I am happy with the chair I purchased, it is comfy. However, I was unhappy with my customer experience in multiple aspects.
My sales associate disappeared for long stretches at a time. After I had picked out my chair but before she rematerialized from Narnia, a follow-up customer with a more attentive sales person decided she liked the same chair (which was on special for a holiday weekend) and was able to start the checkout process. I would thusly need to special order the chair. Well okay, it wasn't a furniture emergency and I could pick out a different fabric. I guess I don't know what I expected on wait time, but it wasn't 4-6 weeks, which they didn't tell me until after I swiped my card. I wasn't thrilled, but I wasn't mad either. However, what I was am most unhappy about was that I was explicitly told I'd get the promotional pricing but when I looked at my receipt when I got home, it was the full price. I called, got put on hold, and then given excuses for why they weren't going to honor it. In addition to this, the employees showed clear disdain for those wearing masks, especially when my husband went to pick up the chair, at which point it was certainly considered mandatory in Virginia.

Read moreMy father and I went in on 4/29/23. We just bought a new home and needed furniture. We were greeted outside while we were looking at the patio furniture by Mike. He was great and entertained my son with all the crazy questions he had. He walked in the store explained everything and then let us browse. He checked on us and was great. We told him that I needed to let my hubby look at what I chose. He then told us they were open tomorrow and see us tomorrow. The next day the whole family came and Mike was there to greet us. He didn't rush us. I showed everyone what I wanted. Then we got to meet Debbie. She was great helping my dad and husband get the financing that we needed. Mike was there yet again entertaning my sons questions. Mike then got everything to together that we needed and couple of other things that we needed like the great protection plan you guys carry and the great delivery and set up you having. Now everything is all tied up and ready for new house. Guess what no rush on the delivery because you guys will deliver it after we close on MAY 26TH So thank you Mike and Debbie for making this exciting stressful adventure alitle less stressful and little more exciting.
