One star isn't because of the sausage egg biscuit, it was very good. It was the employees, and lack of or not prepared for customers. I was 11:39 today 9/9/21 invoice 30004. We planned on purchasing breakfast and enough for the rest of our day as we are visiting here in Yorktown from PA I went inside and there appears a woman asking if I was looking for someone. I said I wanted to get breakfast sandwiches and is it to early to purchase chicken? She said that would be about 20 minutes, and we had to go through the drive-thru. Okay I said, so back out I go and to the drive-thru speaker and a mumbled voice I believe ask what I wanted. I had to ask a couple times and a woman will came in on and said what did we want? I said I wanted 2 sausage, egg and cheese biscuit meals. Mumbled again ask what I wanted to drink I said coffee with cream. Voice says we don't have any coffee made right now. Okay, then ice tea, we don't have any yet. Me I was trying to understand and finally a woman in the background said what else do you want to drink? I said nothing you don't have anything else so I guess we'll just have the two biscuits. Then the woman had to say pull around to the window, the young man mumbles it so that you can't understand him. So sad! If we won't have been to our first Bojangles on our way down just on this side of Richmond Virginia, I would have always felt and told other folks never to go to one. You aren't going to do that as we plan to stop for your delicious chicken and tea on our way back home to Pennsylvania. Just so anyone reading this review knows, it's the Bojangles on hwy 17 ...
Read moreI am a North Carolinian who knows his Bojangles, and some might say, a Bojangles connoisseur. I took my family of 7 here while we were on vacation. We went through the drive-thru and were surprised to be talking to an automated system at the drive-thru speaker. After trying to get through it, we gave up for the sake of time after it stopped responding to us and pulled forward to the window. We placed our order there and the lady at the window whom I think is a manager was very pleasant. The wait was a little bit long but not terrible. Once we got back to the house, I was able to evaluate the food. Again, I am a North Carolinian, and I know my Bojangles.
The biscuit recipe they're using here is not the Bojangles biscuit recipe. It's kind of close, but it's just not the same. Portions seem a little smaller for the sides,at least for the macaroni and cheese my kids got. My fries unfortunately did not have any seasoning, but my wife's did. For some reason, they don't do 3-piece Supremes here. I guess it's a franchise level thing. You have to add a supreme to the 2-piece Supremes kids meal Supremes we're good and expected They had Cheerwine which is a plus
Overall, the worst thing was the drive thru. The automated ordering speaker thing was just ineffective. Wait time was a little long. Food wasn't bad but not as good as I would expect from Bojangles, and the biscuits just weren't right. Not sure if it's because they need that southern touch and just don't have the people for that or what. Either way, not the greatest Bojangles...

I placed my 4 piece supreme meal order at 9:04....I did not get my food until 9:26. I appreciate the staff cooking the Supremes before 9:30 but I would have appreciated them telling us there was a wait. One darker skin lady with a ponytail told my friend to move up because she was holding up the numbers on her timer. No one was behind us at all. After we initially placed our order we waited behind a truck at the window for apx ten minutes. He was never told to move up. The staff appeared to be angry and hostile for no reason. Two people were talking in the speaker while we gave our order. One guy said 'we don't have any peaches in the store at all". Then he said, 'o she said she'll have it ready for you at the window.' then they said, ' we don't have any Mac n cheese at all.' then he would say, 'o she said you can have it' Meanwhile another person was trying to over talk him. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. After waiting nearly 20 minutes, another lady came outside and asked for the second time what sauce I wanted for the Supremes. My friend had already been laughing at the radio....somehow the staff member assumed she was laughing at her and said, "you're not allowed to come back because you're laughing at us" How self-absorbed do you have to be to honestly think we're spending time laughing at you??? 🤦🏾♀️ We would never disrespect anyone. Then my fries were extremely...
