BAM Cards — Local services in Goleta

We had the best experience at BAM! My kids had been wanting me to take them to a Pokémon trading store for awhile, but my husband had negative experiences with getting cheated at baseball trading card stores when he was a kid, so he was anxious they'd be taken advantage of or treated badly, but that couldn't have been more opposite from our experience. The vibe was super friendly and clearly community oriented. The workers were very helpful and gave us lots of information about events and how it all works. I love that you can look at their computer screen and see exactly what cards they have, at exactly what price: no haggling. For trades, they take near mint condition cards worth over $5 for 80% value in store credit. We will definitely be going back! My son says: "I THINK THE CARDS ARE WORTH MORE DOLLARS THAN IT SAYS ON THEIR SCREEN. The cards there are super cool and old, so younger people can get their hands on cards that they don't make anymore. Also I can't wait to go back there! And I will rate this place 100 quatrillion...

Buy at own risk. They sold this creased card as lightly played, and then when I returned it to them (had to get TCG in to make them allow that after they fought me on it) insisted it was absolutely fine and MY grading was the issue. Obviously not good people.

The owner has a major attitude problem, he can’t seem to just handle things calmly and fairly. He is one of those guys who just can’t take responsibility.

The guy keeps changing his response (I get an email telling me each time!) to look less unreasonable, so I attach a screenshot of his initial reply where he doesn’t acknowledge the error he insisted repeatedly wasn’t an error and calls me ‘unhinged’ for requesting an apology - name calling. This place is amazing! If I could give higher than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat. Peak LGS for sure- great owners and great customers who are friendly/welcoming. Mack makes this store an instant favorite and worth the drive from Ventura for me and my friends that go to play.

Not only is there consistent days to go play MtG but Pokémon and Flesh&Blood has consistent days as well, which there are not many in this area.
