Is this how Lane Bryant treats their customers? One of the managerial staff Jennifer, told us that we could take advantage of "buy five jewelry items, get 50% off." She said the ones on the other side also qualify & pointed in a general direction to go look at more jewelry. When we came with five items she said "Oh wait, one of these aren't part of it. You don't get the 50% off," after I spent all that time picking & choosing earrings for my girlfriend. So I replace the earrings that are not part of the deal for one that is. She says, " you're 5$ short of the 50 dollar Lane Bryant return cards where you spend 150 & get 75 off. We go back to get the earrings we put back & she says okay. She doesn't say anything else to us. At this point we're just trying to get the sale & the return card & we know she knows it.
We we pay & leave. Not realizing she hadn't given us the return card, we drive back to the store when we discovered it. She said she could not give us the card because we didn't make the 50$ pretax amount & tax didn't count towards it. If you're confused, then you're with us. She made certain to correct me on her own error. So no discount customer return card for us to use next time & we got the extra earrings for nothing.
