It was a beautiful Sunday morning just after 7a.m. when I ate at Denny's. The service was terrific and the food there is delicious. I ordered the Lumberjack Slam with extra butter on my pancakes. The lemonade tea helped ease my hangover symptoms. Mixing up the hash browns with the over medium eggs while ensuring everything is coated with a thin layer of yolk is how I do things. The large windows allowed the rays from the life-giving Sun to extend throughout the restaurant. The Sunlight gently warmed my face as I sat at the cool and comfortable booth. That booth was clean and well organized with the essential condiments necessary for most meals. The great atmosphere and friendly service allowed me to relax and recover after having labored for nearly 60 hours that week. I had many thoughts while at Denny's, but one thought stood out, beautiful green lush forests. A calm river separates the trees as I slowly paddle, the river current leading me to a destination as clouds begin to roll in and sprinkle the Earth. There is so much natural beauty, so many miracles, I look around as if searching for more. White birds fly in formation above as elk, chipmunks and the wildlife of the forest look curiously at me as I float by. I pass an otter floating on its back looking as if judging me. The sky is now dark and the clouds release a downpour of rain. Each raindrop is large and instead of causing ripples on the river, each drop causes a splash. The rain breaks on my skin and invites me to stand. I stand in the small boat, arms spread, face towards the sky. Before me, a small break in the clouds allow a small yet intense ray of Sunlight through, as if attempting to give me a sign. Perhaps by chance I look ahead and see a break in the river. The current becomes faster, stronger. The river narrows and just ahead the water turns white as it crashes into stone. Surely, any attempt to pass through these rapids could likely lead to injury, or possibly even my demise. Yet I am incredibly calm. My heart beats steadily as I'm overcome by an incredible state of clarity. What we call life is more than it appears. Life is eternal and I've always had this feeling, this thought in the back of my mind. How I long to return, as I am not separate...
Read moreThey have more than one doctor there and the first doctor that did my eye exam wrote me a script that when I look through the lens they made me sick, nauseous to be exact and I couldn't see very clearly or far away as I need it to. So I went back and I asked for another doctor to check my eyes out and she gave me a correct prescription these glasses are wonderful. I do have one thing to say about the customer service that's kind of lacking. I expected to get a call from them to let me know that the 2nd pair of glasses were in. But nobody called me at all I had to call myself to see if they were in. And that's not the way vision works have done in the past. So next time I think maybe I'll just go to Glendale store.. also the store is facing the sun so if you go in the summertime just know that while you're waiting for your exam you will...
Read moreGreat place. Friendly doctor and staff. My only complaint is that they don't answer the phone and an appt is required for everything (understandable). I understand that they are very busy and I didn't see one single person that was able to answer the phone bc they were all busy helping customers. You can set an appt online for eye exams. I used that and it was so easy and convenient. However, I ended up having to drive there to make an appt so I could look at glasses. They were very friendly and I got lucky and they were able to help me right then and I didn't have to come back. I would highly recommend them. I would just caution you to be patient bc of them not being able to answer...
