We had purchased a full family meal including desert. A few minutes later I decided to add an additional meal to take home later. When I got to the counter we still had our drinks that we’d purchased and our dessert. The older male with gray hair named Tod took our order. As we were about to pay he had charged us for an additional dessert. I told him that we’d just purchased the dessert on our previous order and we had our receipt in hand. The woman who’s taken our order minutes before was right next to us busy at this point. As I told Tod that we’d paid for the order his entire demeanor because extremely unfriendly. He removed the desert and we proceeded to pay for our additional add on meal. We’d spent $50 at this point. The older gentleman Tod seemed upset and stopped making eye contact. We asked for a receipt. He gave it without looking or speaking. Didn’t tell us have a good day, bye…or anything of the sort. And we walked away in an awkward silence. We began to feel extremely uncomfortable waiting for our meal to be prepared. About 10 minutes later or so, Tod walked over to the to go side to in fact check and ask if we actually paid for our dessert before the woman handed our meal over. I’m not sure if because we’re an ethnic family that we were treated like we were a family of thieves but it’s disrespectful to start acting rude. He never apologized and automatically assumed that we stole something that was clearly on the receipt. We’ve been coming to this restaurant for well over 5 years. We usually have nothing but good things to say as everyone is friendly and has good service and food. But this experience caused us to feel very uncomfortable, unwelcomed and like we were being watched over our entire stay. This is very unprofessional and we’d like to know there’s protocol for when employees who represent the Wildflower brand bring racial discrimination into the work place. He never felt the need to double check any of the other families receipts or watch them moving in the restaurants. I was keen on returning the entire meal including the PAID DESSERT and not coming back. Tod didn’t even apologize for his mistake and rude behavior. I hope that this is corrected and he’s retrained on inclusivity/diversity. This is unacceptable. Smh. Everyone else was very kind and friendly as usual as we’re regular customers. Please...
Read moreMan I really loved this place but lately, no matter how dead or busy it is, their wait times are far too long. I officially stopped ordering any warm or hot meals weeks ago, as it takes forever for them to come out. Yesterday I ordered a Caesar salad and it took 25 mins to get it. It's literally lettuce, croutons and dressing. The manager and two other employees were just standing by the pick up window watching the cooking staff for the majority of the time I was waiting. It would have been more effective and efficient for the manager to step into the kitchen and help if they were that backed up. I had to ask the manager to step in and check on my food. He shouldn't have to be asked to do this, as the manager he should just step in when he sees his team needs help. I used to consistently see the old manager jump in. She was on it! Helping in the kitchen, helping at the registers, cleaning tables, asking how the patrons were doing. This new guy just stands around waiting to carry food out. The other day they only had one person on the register, she was trying to keep up AND make the coffees, meanwhile the manager and "food runners" were just standing there... I understand places get busy, but when you see people standing around during busy times, it's quite frustrating. I stopped in today, there was no rush or line, I walk right up to the counter so I was feeling confident i would have a different experience. I ordered a cold sandwich and she tells me it's going to be at least a 30 minute wait. I looked around confused. There was one couple who had just ordered, most everyone sitting had food already. I'm not sure why a cold sandwich would take 30 minutes to assemble, especially when they weren't busy. I walked out. It's unfortunate. I come nearly everyday for lunch and the wait times have never been a problem until the manager changed. The typical working adult does not have 30 mins to wait for a cold meal. Do better so the people who have been supporting your establishment for years can continue to enjoy it. You're pouring all this money into a remodel, when truth be told, I'd prefer to stare at outdated decor and have enough capable staff to operate the store, than be surrounded with modern decor and have to deal with...
Read moreEveryone knows Wildflower is good. I’m here to specifically write about the customer service I received yesterday. I just had my birthday & wanted to collect my free slice of cake. (: I went to this location and was extremely satisfied with the service. I took my order to go & waited no more than 10 minutes. But that’s not why I’m here.. I’m here because of GABY. She is such a sweetheart! When I was there she was working the cash register & when I say she had patience I mean she had patience!! I hadn’t been there in forever &she answered the thousands of questions I had, made small talk, smiled, was pleasant, and most importantly didn’t make me feel rushed or silly for asking so many questions. She told me happy birthday when I got my cake and gave me a genuine smile. Her customer service is excellent. She actually greeted The two people in front of me by name, asked how they’ve been, and made small talk. (It wasn’t a long conversation at all & didn’t make me feel like “come on hurry up I’m next”), but just a short convo to make the frequent customers feel special. They obviously frequent there and I could tell she was part of the reason they returned. I could tell she actually cares about the customers and you don’t see a lot of that anymore. She is so polite and warm hearted. I would return here because of her specifically!!! (Also I recently stopped driving for doordash but when I was I picked up from this location a lot and there is a manager there who is also so kind. She has dark hair (pretty close to black) and usually is found by the kitchen checking orders and putting them into Togo bags. I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name but she is also very genuine and kind. Plus I always see her over by the kitchen working her butt off.) overall everyone was kind and customer service was amazing but GABY just really stood out to me. Honestly I didn’t have the best birthday the day before & she really lightened my day and made me feel like the “birthday girl” for the time I was there and I really appreciate her. It was one of those situations where you meet an amazing person and they make an impact on you but they probably have no idea. I wanted her to know how amazing she is and how much I appreciated...
