Menards — Local services in Goshen

We placed an online order same day delivery the day before thanksgiving… online tracking shows the order has been completed and shipped in full but we never received it. The day before Thanksgiving we weren’t that surprised that we didn’t receive it with it being the holiday and all. However the day after Thanksgiving we still have not received it and we were informed that it was third-party shipped and they couldn’t find the one who was supposed to have delivered it. We was told that we would have to wait until Menards was reimbursed before we would ever get what we had ordered. We were told Saturday that they were going to re-ship it but we just informed them that we could come pick it up and be a lot easier than shipping it. We went over on Saturday and was told that it was out of their hands that they were still waiting for the third-party to reimburse them. We talk to Jerry and asked to speak to his general manager Matt. Was told it was corporate policy and it was out of their hands did they would have to wait until Monday to get some kind of an answer for us. By then our face was dwindling and we didn’t figure we was going to receive the product at all. Called Monday Matt was in a meeting but told that he would get a hold of us when he got out of the meeting. So I talk to him on the phone and he promised he would have it lol that he would have this resolved before the end of the day and he would call us back. In 45 minutes we received a phone call back from Matt saying it was taken care of and they were going to deliver the product to us that evening. By the time we got the voicemail Jerry himself delivered the product after hours. Matt and Jerry made the decision to deliver it themselves as they had still not heard back from the third-party shipper. So we would like to do a big shout out and a thank you to Matt and Jerry who we feel went above and beyond unfulfilled their promise regardless of company policy. People have always been wonderful at Menards, and for the most part have been helpful. But, last night on November 14, 2016 my family had a very uncomfortable incident. As my brother and dad approached the register, the cashier (Pamela) seem to be nice. My brother asked her if they would be able to put their transaction on my dad's Big Card. With a "surprised" look on her face she said "Oh you have one?" and giggled like it was something funny that a Hispanic man had a credit card. My brother answered her saying "Yes, we do but would you be able to look it up?". She asked for my father's birthday and entered it and asked for him to type in his social (giggling) again making them feel like pretty much like crap. After he enters his number, she makes a smart remark "Oh he passed!" My brother then asked her "Why wouldn't he?" I went in looking for an M6 threaded rod. I found the standard bolts/rods but was unable to locate the metric area. They have a service desk area by hardware so I approached the gentleman at the desk and said, “hi”. He greeted me with a blank stare. I asked if he could help me find the metric bolts/rods. He continues to look at me with a now more inconvenienced/confused look, but picked up his stack of papers and said something to me. So I proceeded to follow him. When we arrived at our destination I realized that we were on different missions because he began putting new price tags on items. So I asked, “hey Rodney, are you helping me or should I find someone else?” He replied “I don’t know what you’re talking about”.
