First of all, this Burger King doesn't even deserve A STAR. I hope later on we get a rating system that includes a "No Star" rating so we can rate those establishments that deserve it appropriately.
I want it to be know that no one should EVER eat at this location. EVER! I'm completely appalled that they managed to screw up our entire order from start to finish. It's obvious that people that go here have the lowest of expectations and don't mind the slop they dole out. Unfortunately, as our family was out and about doing stuff with our family business, we didn't get a chance to eat that day. My dad chose this location to patronize because we were in the area.
First of all I feel that there's a complete lack of training that the associates at this restaurant receive. It was completely frustrating that we had to repeat ourselves over three times to the young girl that was running the register that night. That was kinda of inexcusable to have her taking orders if she wasn't capable of paying attention or didn't feel confident enough to make sure the transaction was processed accurately. This is when management should have had another more capable associate take over, or shadow her so she didn't screw stuff up.
My dad started by letting her know that we were going to have THREE large fries in our order extra crispy, as to give them time to get that ready. Not really rocket science. That means you drop the appropriate amount of fries for your order, so that you will be able to get them to that golden state of goodness. She seem confused by that, and so was what I assume was the shift leader when my dad told her the same thing.
Then came the first sandwich. My dad asked for a veggie burger, and specified that wanted cheese, pickles, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, tomato, onions and NO MAYONNAISE. This is an order that countless Burger Kings all over the state of Indiana have managed to execute flawlessly. Once again, shuffling on that. My dad ordered his stuff, then I got a chance to order my food. I specifically asked for a large sized Grilled Chicken combo with NO MAYONNAISE and let her know that my fries were one of the extra crispy fries my dad asked for.
Since this industry has been clamoring up and down for $15 an hour pay raise for the past four plus years, you would think that the bar was set so high that we got the most superlative and accurate service in our life. Hey, you know, cuz "Hold the pickle, hold the lettuce, special orders don't upset us."
One could only hope this. Back to reality. First of all the fries were not extra crispy like we asked. At least they weren't completely soggy. The real problem was they were saltier than the Dead Sea. That wouldn't have been an issue if we were deer camping out at a salt lick, but we are not. This goes back to that communication and training thing. I'm sure there is a procedure that they should be following that might include the person that pulls the fries is the only person that should be salting the fries (as to keep from double salting) and it should only be a dusting of salt (we are making fries not brining a goose.)
Second of all my mom's veggie burger had hard clumps in it and tasted nasty she said, Lord knows what was going on with it. I have a feeling this must have been an old patty(apparently a majority of the people in Goshen have no idea what vegetarian is.)
If you thought this nightmare Dinner Train was going to stop buckle up cuz it's just keeps on rollin. For whatever reason it might be even the sodas in their machine tasted horrible (probably not maintained.) It also might be the water in the town (hello filtration system), but still doesn't excuse the fact there is so little carbonation in them.
Last of all, if crappy drinks, salty fries and a messed up veggie burger wasn't enough, they manage to mess up the simplest thing they could have prepared. That's right they gave me a grilled chicken sandwich not only with wilted nasty lettuce, but with...
Read moreI hate to say it, but I was not pleased with my visit here. My husband and I stopped in for a late dinner after 15 hours of travel. They were understaffed with the front cashier working drive-through as well as the front, which caused a very long line that we observed when we first walked in. The wait was long before she even acknowledged the first person in line. After ordering, we went to get our drinks, and they had no ice, so we had to wait again just to ask her to put ice in our cups. Then we went to sit down and every table in the lobby was dirty so we had to clean it ourselves. The rest were fairly clean. After we finished our lukewarm meal, there was nowhere to throw our trash away because the trash cans were over flowing. We won't be stopping at this...
Read moreAbsolute HORRIBLE service. I was in drive through lane 2 and the lady, which I found out to be the manager, kept taking orders from lane 1. After sitting there for 15 minutes and about three cars going through lane 1 I decide to pull up and let her know the situation. instead of being apologetic she started scolding me from about 40 feet away. She would not come to the window to apologize and discuss just continued to be argumentative. I asked for the owners name and contact information so I could share my experience and she got down right belligerent. This lady should never be dealing with the public if this is the way she acts. I will definitely find out the owners contact and let him know this manager is costing...
