There was a reason that we paid off the Home Depot card 2 years ago, lack of customer service. Gave HD another shot when we tried to rent a piece of equipment this morning. Got there at 0700 (appointment to pick up the equipment that was reserved the day before) to the rental department and waited for 25 minutes for someone to come take care of us. We noticed 2 people talking right out side and down the isle from the rental dept, after asking at the Pro Desk for someone to come help us, twice those 2 people that were talking to each other were the ones that finally came to help us! My wife has to do the “Clear” app 4 times before it finally accepted her. We load the equipment up and go back in to finalize the rental agreement (1 1/2 hours later) and now we’re told that we have to start all over again, including making another deposit for the equipment. Granted, we were told that our money will be refunded within 14 business days, but to spend another $300 was ridiculous to us! The GM tried to make it right by offering a somewhat discounted price after we return the equipment back in, but couldn’t say how much he could compensate us for our 2 hour wait once we return the unit back in. We ended up un hooking the Ditch Witch and leaving it there. Like I said in the beginning, there was a reason we paid off our HD card and never gone back in there. I’ll pay $100 more somewhere else just to not go back in there again. In their defense we understand the computer was the problem, but in essence that shouldn’t have held up the process for 2 hours. The lady in customer service at times, would announce herself as if she was talking to children. We know we’re only 2 people and we don’t feel our opinion matters with a large corporation, but we have to say something in hopes nobody else has to go through the ringer like we did. Best of luck HD Granbury, you’re...
Read moreThe B crew must have been working tonight. I went in to get several trash cans. I went to the TC aisle and discovered the lids were a mess and not well stocked. They are also out of reach for us shorties. Like one would think these lids and cans aren’t even in the same general area. Clerks walked by but no one asked to help me. I finally made my selections but on the way to check out I found the perfect one on sale in the front of the store but there were no lids. I asked the girl in CS area where the lids were and she said in the tc aisle and its lid 55. So I head back only to find the lids are marked alphabetically. I told the girl there isn’t a 55 and she didn’t even reply and offered NO assistance. So by now I am starting to fume as I go to the checkout where the young girl there was again NO help. All they could say is the lids are with the TCs. An older lady came up and she wanted to drag me back to the TC aisle which I absolutely wouldn’t do. By this time I am really all done and have said a few choice words. The young girl up front is laughing at me which upset me more. Still I don’t have a dang lid for my TC. Finally a man who I think works in that area went back and came up with a lid. I asked why there weren’t lids where the TCs were and he looked at me like a doe staring in headlights. I don’t know. This was a blatant example of an epic retail fail. 5 people failed to provide customer service and could have cared less. My husband shops at this store all the time. He said customer service in the daytime is great but in the evenings it’s often hard to find help. I guess I won’t go to HD after 5 again. It was a...
Read moreWe went to pick out flooring for a room being remodeled. Our choice is something that the edges glue together to become waterproof! It's supposed to stand up to little feet running, tricycle riding, and wheelchair use! Sounds great!
Home Depot is a "go to" place for home improvements, upgrades, seasonal decorations (Christmas trees, decorations, Halloween, spring plants, etc.), landscaping materials, etc.
The handicapped carts are wonderful for getting around the store. However, taking it into the restroom is a challenge!!
It's incredible that the architects and builders don't actually take one of the electric carts into the restroom and try to maneuver in and out!
I have learned several new vocabulary words trying to get into and out of the restroom! If it wasn't for the two women customers, the male customer, and my husband I probably would still be stuck in there learning MORE new vocabulary words!
The idiots Dan Patrick (Lieutenant Governor), Greg Abbott (Governor), and Ken Paxton (Attorney General), and their henchmen, are afraid a man will be found inside or lurking just outside the women's restroom. It's very necessary for my husband, or a kind (sometimes male) customer, to provide assistance with doors and getting into and out of public restrooms! Especially when the designers and builders don't provide sufficient space to get assistive devices (wheelchairs, electric carts, etc.) INTO and OUT OF facilities! Please vote those idiots out! And be gracious to the men who are nearby offering and providing help to overcome design problems!!
Home Depot is a great store with products we need and use! We are returning...
