The first time I ate there every thing was fine. This time well, We left. We arrived, There were people waiting. We put our name on the list no problem. Since there were empty chairs at the bar we informed the hostess we will wait at the bar. Then went and sat down. There were two people working the bar,the bar was moderately busy. As we waited and waited one bartender stayed busy making drinks for the servers. The other bartender. Served a couple beers to other guest. She then cleared the dishes off the bar from a guest that just left. Took the dishes to the back. Then came back cleared off another spot took those dishes to the back. Took forever to come back. In the meantime a single man came up and sat down, right were she had just cleared the bar 3 stools down. She came out from the back Headed straight to the man who just sat down, totally ignoring my wife and I. She asked the man . would you like a menu and what would you like to drink. Before he could answer I said what about us ,we would like some service. She then apologize said they were very busy. The other bartender was busy helping the servers she wasn't. She asked my wife what she would like. My wife declined. She asked me what I would like, I ordered a cpt & coke . She asked single or double. I said single. She then finished taking the order of the man who she originally started with. After that she made the cocktail brought it to me . With a large straw the size of a sewer pipe to use for a stiring stick. Along with the bill. I looked at the bill it said double tasted the cocktail it was a double. I sent the drink back along with the bill with the other bartender The shorter haired brunette. She corrected the order. At this time I Looked at my wife and asked, what do you think should we stay here. She shook her head no. I then chugged down the cocktail, paid the bill left no tip took our name off the wait list and left. This experience was...
Read moreOut of three times, I have had one good time. The first time I was seated promptly and my food was hot and great. The service was great as well. The second time I waited over five minutes to be seated, not because they were too busy but because they had no one up front. The chili was cold and the service was slow, you could tell they were short handed so I chalked it up to luck. The third time I waited at the front for way more than 5 minutes and more like ten and no one showed up or greeted me to be wait or be seated.
It seems like a company this large should know the value of customer service. I was a restaurant manager before I became a nurse and would like to share the way I thought it should be done. You give 110 percent to your employees so they give 120 percent to your customers. If you have two restaurants in the same area selling the same type of food and one is write home to mom about on the taste but they have the sorriest customer service you have ever had. Then you have another restaurant that has good food, not good enough to shout off rooftops but it is decent, although the customer service is to die for. They greet you when you walk in, seat you where you want to be seated. They have your drink order within a minute and your drinks in front of you shortly after that. They make you feel like your welcome. Which restaurant are you going to spend your money at?
Hoffbrau should have there wait people see you and say, "Hi, thanks for coming, someone will be with you as soon as possible. If that same person sees you standing there five minutes later they should ask you if you have been helped and find someone to help you. Plenty of people saw me standing in front of the hostess stand, no one cared.

Read moreThe dish I had was very good. Well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly and provided better than average service. However, I would not recommend the restaurant. They pack far too many tables into the restaurant. We had to squeeze in and out of our tables. People are sitting right on top of you on all sides causing everyone to scream to be heard. Very loud. Also with COVID and the flu I think it is a health risk having people crammed together. Impossible to have a private conversation and no personal space. It is a shame because otherwise I would think it is a nice restaurant . They would only need to remove four or five tables to greatly improve the environment .
