Went in to find some dresses, dressing rooms were closed due to not having returns out of the dressing rooms, the only dressing room open was the men's. We did end up buying dresses from this jcpennys but got all the way home to find it had a metal tag still attached. Not a huge deal, but went in today (since I was near) and the lady at the counter was on the phone when I walked in. I talked to the customer before me (she watched me walk in with the dress) and she was clearly getting upset with how long the cashier was on the phone. Finally after a few moments the cashier turned to us, and I asked if she would take out the metal thing from the dress.. she asked me for a Receipt and I told her I didn't have it that my sister had it But I was just here Tuesday and we'd Bought two of these same dresses, but didn't get the tags off mine. Anyways, the cashier was short tempered and gave attitude, I don't appreciate that so I told her she could go ahead an watch the cams from 2 days ago or even the one today as I was coming into the store with dress in hand! BTW, the metal security thing never went off when I walked into jcpennys to get it removed, it did however go off when I was going through (on my way to jcp) cabelas front doors. I understand you should always have proof of Purchase, but to have a attitude about it, I'm just going to say don't give something you don't want back. Maybe be aware of people coming into the store as well, cause yea having a back turned towards customers is rude and...
Read moreI was at Penny's to buy some shorts and socks today 6-8-24 @ 1PM. I found a pair of shorts in the closeout section and when I took them to the cashier to buy them along with my other purchase, she told me she couldn't find the SKU tag, but the price was marked down to $17.95. She called a manager to help her and the manager after searching the store merchandise online couldn't fine it and told me that it was mismarked and she couldn't sell it to me. Then she said she could give it to me for $20. I told her she should honor what was on the tag and she insinuated that a customer put that price tag on the shorts, but couldn't find another pair in her store or online. I told her that over a measely $2.05, she just lost a sale that would have been around $75. Normally clerks have a name tag on. She didn't and when I asked her name, she said she didn't have to give it to me. My wife thinks she heard the clerk call the manager Dory, but we're not sure. She also said her hands were basically tied because it was a decision from "Corporate". DUH. I thought that's why they have a manager to make local decisions. I purchased a pair of dress slacks yersterday which I plan on returning and I will shop Dillard's from now on. Very, Very poor customer...
Read moreReally disappointed in you JC Penny. Your catalog department online really sucks. Can't find anything for big and tall people in clothing. What few pieces you do sell on the floor is mis-labeled and really don't fit at all!!
As big of a store we have here, you can't find a sales clerk to help you out back in the day when you were new to the Mall. Guess after 40+ years sales and staff have really declined to say the least. Needless to say, you aren't my favorite store to shop at. I wouldn't miss you if you closed for good here. Shame that everything has to be ordered online and no way of trying it on BEFORE BUYING IT. You have fitting rooms that are collecting dust because there is no merchandise you can try on. As for the staff that does work there... Well, let's just say they aren't the ones spending money on clothing and if it isn't in their expertise or areas of service, they don't know beans how things look on the customer or if it is in their department . I encountered one clerk in the entire store to help me locate the very tiny big and tall section in store. She acted disgruntled that I even asked her to show me where the section was. Pride in your work really has gone downhill and they all should...
