if I could give less than 1 star i would. We moved our account here after moving to the valley. the 1st month alone they took over 700.00 for 2 item. Then I fell ill and my husband is now caring for me at home. Chris the manager at first worked with us. we have spent over 12k. The receipts I have show that they over charge, So I contacted Corp offices to resolve, spoke with the Corp manager and said to meet with the store manager and he was not going to be in attendance. They called today demanding that we pay them. I didn't show up to our meeting cause my health is failing. Chris the manager said he doesn't give a shit. we have been giving them what we can... and he said he doesn't give a shit. They are a rip off and rude as all hell. I called Corp and filed yet another complaint. UPDATE They took 208.01 on 6/7/25 I'm still waiting for the general manager to call. I called and called no response. We did NOT sign a contract for them to take out money on auto pay. This place is a scam! They took the money without a autopay contract. I have tried, several times, to get my current card changed for autopay, but the website won't remove the old one. I am also getting charged on an account that is no longer authorized. When I tried to get it resolved through the website, I first had to go through the automated system (fair enough, and to be expected in day and age). Then I was transferred to someone, but said they couldn't help me and said I ha to be transferred to another department. What was the point of the automated system if I had to be transferred twice? I was in the middle of he second transfer when they disconnected me. And now there is no chat bubble to try to get this resolved. The only way to contact customer service for help is to e-mail my local store, or call a customer service. Why can't I just e-mail the customer service? I see you made an inquiry blah, blah blah." No, I get, "This call is for Ken. This is Dan with Rent A Center, call me, phone number". So, I called then today. Got Dan. Told him, he was the one I wanted to question. He didn't seem to understand. I asked him why he was calling my phone, leaving voicemails like I was some deadbeat. He didn't have much to say, so I took over the conversation, giving him an example of what OTHER messages he could leave for a prospective customer.
