2025: Haven't been here in a year and now I remember why. I just got an omelet that was only big enough to be maaaybe 2 small eggs for the entree and 3 silver dollar pancakes with hash browns for $21 because I wanted more veggies than offered on menu items and you can't change that online on the menu items. I had to build it on the BYO one. $21 for a kids meal sized box of food is atrocious. What the heck are you even doing, trying to be IHOP? Still not worth the gas to pick anything up much less the astronomical prices now. 2024: This place serves mediocre food with slow service if you don't get ignored altogether. I ordered the All World Double Cheeseburger to go so I didn't have to deal with the service and I see zero onion rings. That's the whole point of the burger??? You can't even take them off in the menu online. I definitely didn't accidentally select anything, I literally just ordered it as it comes right off the menu. This place really isn't worth bothering with. Go to McDonald's, it's pretty much the same price but they have a better chance of getting your order right and they'll be nicer.

I never thought I'd be leaving a review for Village inn but this is deserving. I ordered lunch for pickup and grabbed it on my way home. I ate it and thought nothing more until my wife got home and found a note and coupon in the bag that had my lunch. On the note was an apology for substituting green beans for corn, and a coupon for a free meal as a result. I honestly didn't even look at what came with the entree and had no idea they gave me a side that wasnt standard. But they took the time to take responsibility for it and made amends. in a world where excuses come before responsibility, I'm impressed. Way to go VI.

Kids menu is misleading. There's a 3 step for picking what you want (main item, side, drink). With a 4th dessert step that clearly says +2.50. The drinks appear to be included in a kids combo, but then they charge you separately for them. An adult and 2 kids should not cost $40. Also the bacon side my daughter chose came with not two, not one, but a tiny half slice of bacon with half a waffle. Talk about shrinkflation tactics... SMH.

So this was my first time in Grand junction. I had been driving several hours and was ready to pull over for the night. I was craving delicious food and a beer to cap off the night. I remembered there's an Old Chicago here and perked right up. To me, the name is synonymous with an excellent beer selection and incredible food. Up to this point I'd never been disappointed and I still haven't. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile. I chose to sit in the bar area. It didn't take long for the server to ask me what I wanted to drink. She was also quite friendly and stayed prompt during the entirety of my stay. I started off with a delicious IPA and explained how I like a nice buzz before I order food. She understood and left me to it until I was finished. After 2 tall beers I was ready for food. I swear I thought I heard the words BBQ BACON CHEESEBURGER from the menu call my name. So that's what was ordered. It arrived medium rare, just as I asked. If I could carve the meat right from the cow.. so the burger was fantastic. The beer hit the spot and that was a very pleasant way to the the night. Thanks, Old Chicago, I shall...

I am about respect of staff, atmosphere, then product. We actually had to pull in to VI: It was about 1 a.m., we were on North Avenue, my chair had run out of power and wouldn't be able to make it to Planet Fitness without a recharge. The host invited us in, made room, got us close to a power outlet and offered us something to drink. He sang along with the songs which we heard on the overhead speakers and had a fun, outgoing attitude; it was energetic and infectious.

We weren't going to order, but since I hadn't eaten since 6, I was a bit hungry and we ordered some chicken strips and fries. It didn't take long for our orders to be brought out. The food was good, fries were crispy and the chicken had been fried just right and not overdone. We chose gravy to dip the chicken and it was perfect.

The waitress was so sweet and compassionate. She knew we were having kind of a rough night, and her kindness was more valuable than anything the menu had to offer.

I will never forget that night. Two hours flew by quickly and all too soon it was 3:00 a.m. and we were on our way to the gym with more than a recharged...
