Gj Mart — Local services in Grand Junction

This place is the best!!! Huge selection of frozen food, seafoods, exotic fruits, vegetables you can’t find elsewhere, SOOOO many snacks, drinks, a WHOLE ramen aisle, everything that you could think of. Owned and operated by a local, very nice, welcoming and hard working couple, this is a place to go regularly. Usually parked outside is Lucky Thai food truck & an awesome boba/tea truck. Behind Big lots, where teller arms liquor used to be. I’ve been to other Asian markets, which were more of a novelty to see things I might not buy, but this place has plenty of quirky things (like anchovy sauce, pickled octopus, fish candy), but also LOTS of things that are delicious to the less adventurous American (every flavor of pocky, Thai tea in cans, Japanese soda, ice cream). The prices are AMAZING - seriously less than we spend at city market or wal-mart. And they have a big enough selection, that you can actually stock up on groceries here! Honestly I just went in the Asian Food store to purchase something small to break a 20.00 so I could get Bus money. I found a freezer chest just inside the front door, with this selection of ice cream type frozen treats. Starting at about 4.00. I grabbed this little frozen strawberry cake....it was from japan. It thawed in my front seat, while I did some errands. I unpackaged it and gave it a bite.... and wow, was it good. It had like an orange flavored pound cake center with this strawberry frosting....that was light as cool whip. It was good for 3 bites....and done. But man was it tasty. Looking forward to going back. And the Asian dude at the register...

Great news local place with a ton of product from Asia. From ramen to seaweed. Bulk noodles and purple potatoes. This place is amazing. Saw so many new things I hadn't seen before. Initially saw this place on a write up in the local paper and had to explore for myself. The owners are great and very friendly. They answered all of my questions about products. They even had fresh made spring rolls and sesame balls available. I was exceptionally impressed with their frozen foods and meats available to boot. Very worthwhile to check out. They even have an aisle full of utensils from cutlery to bowls. Definitely worth a look to check things out and see for yourself and highly...
