Sleeping Tiger — Local services in Grandville

Stopped in to pick up a couple of crystals that I needed for a ritual (snowflake obsidian and blue goldstone to be specific). I had been to a different location and hadn't found any loose snowflake obsidian but I knew they had necklaces with stone charms, so I started there. I found one and then turned to look through the loose stones they did have and discovered that they did in fact have the ones I wanted. When I couldn't find the price for them I asked how much they were and was rudely treated, as though I was stupid. I grabbed the two stones and put the necklace back. When I set them down on the counter and told the cashier (strawberry blonde guy with a bad attitude) I was ready he asked if what I'd put down was all I was purchasing. I said that it was and he then proceeded to accuse me of stealing the necklace, which I had put back. His exact words were "So where's the necklace I saw you pick up?" I can honestly say I will not be shopping at the Rivertown location again. I also overheard him tell another customer that they no longer carried an item and the reason that it wasn't marked that they didn't have it was that he enjoyed disappointing people. Very rude and unprofessional, when usually the employees are fun and vibrant...

I would love to give 5 stars because the store is very nice and they have a lot of really interesting stuff. However, this place needs to get some new employees. There where 2 employees in the store today while my sister and I were shopping, one with short, black, side swept hair and another who was quite young with longer brown hair. While my sister was checking out they were talking to each other about the work schedule and how another employee was going to be late because she was picking up her prom dress, meanwhile the young girl was eating the entire time. The girl with the black hair walked away from the register in the middle of the transaction without saying anything and the other girl just continued eating instead of finishing the transaction. A little considerate customer service would've been nice. I've worked retail and if I acted like that at my job or even my current non retail job I would find myself needing to find a new job. It won't stop me from shopping there, but I definitely won't be buying anything if these employees are in the store again when I go. I would come back and try my luck with new employees...

Honestly some of the staff were absolutely unprofessional. If it werent for a guy named Josh I wouldn't bother to even go back. I was hesitant to go back after some problems I hid on previous problems and prefer spirit dreams level of professionalism more but this place is better priced and closer. An older woman I spoke to a couple times has no idea what shes talking about and I think she makes things up. Other staff seems young and not all tha familiar with their product which is frustrating. Josh was helpful, honest and seems to have a good understanding and if he doesnt he is honest in saying so. Going in today so I'm hoping hes working and can help me pick out a new grid for...
