I have a sales tax license which makes youexempt from paying sales tax for anything purchased for my business Told the cashier we were Tex exempt she tried to follow the instruction in the book so she had to call the manager who came and looked at my license and said where does it say on here that you are tax exempt. I said it’s in your hand it’s a sales tax license he said no it doesn’t say that on here even another employee told him that’s what they use for tax exempt he acted like he never heard her I said we just used it at Hone goods across the parking lot with no problem at all. He handed the sales tax license back and said you need a different piece of paper that says tax exempt. So Marshall’s owes me $7.43 for the sales tax I had to pay and you need to make sure all your managers are trained n this area because I fully believe had no idea what to do that’s why he totally ignored the employee that knew that the paper we gave him was all he needed. Was in from out of town picking up a few things. Went to the checkout and was greeted by a very nice young girl i think her name was Ariana. Instead of just checking out my things like any other cashier would making no small talk or asking if I found everything ok. She was the opposite. She was very professional, polite, made small talk, asked if I found everything ok. (Which I did, thanks to her. For some reason I couldn't find the socks) but she helped me find them. I found some curtains in the clearance section that I wanted to purchase, when I got to the cashier to check out the associate informed me that it was an incorrect tag and that it was for a lipstick. I then asked for the manager and when she came she was beyond rude, claiming that there was nothing she could do and claimed that the sticker was put on the product by a customer...(aka me). I then told her that it is not my job to check if the tag is correct or not and that was the price that was on the item. She refused to give me the clearance price and walked away.
