Stayed here back in August. When we pulled up on the street, we were sure we had the wrong address, as the building appeared to be abandoned. But- we went in anyway, and Cheryl, the lovely owner, greeted us and took us to an outside stairs entrance. We were doubtful. But oh my! We entered a beautiful new 2-bedroom suite, all finished in knotty pine paneling, with a dining/sitting area, a living area with comfy sofas and tv, and a fully-equipped kitchen! The kitchen held not only a nice coffeemaker, but a one-cup machine as well. There was a pull-out bin for both trash and recyclables. A double stainless steel sink, a full-size stove and fridge, with pans, utensils, and dishes rounded out the kitchen. Nice touches were flashes of bright red and the hospitality basket of fruit and snacks. It was magnificent! The bathroom contained lavender soaps and plenty of fresh white towels. We were wowed. Not only is the store full of beautiful treasures, the owner and her daughter were warm, helpful, and nerded out on geology with us. They educated us, brought out different examples of what they were explaining, answered our questions, and were the brightest gems in that shop. She was so patient and shared her passion with all 3 of our curious kids; even letting them look at some under the microscope. She made us feel much more confident in identifying agates.
