Reading the reviews & this store sincerely responded to one of their customers passive aggressively insinuating they were broke because they complained about the absurd pricing in comparison to getting it off Amazon. And the reviewer (Grace Jimenez) was correct actually. Luxury retailers were just outed as getting their merchandise from China, so their (KissItGoodBuy) response saying their product is better than knock offs from China has also been proven incorrect. There is no difference between those knock off & luxury brands that’s why SoHo NY & other popular bootleg areas are being cleaned out currently. Also, another reviewer (Erin Whitney) stated their daughter in law was told an item was too expensive for them to purchase. Seeing again, the way the store responded to this post by reminding them their store was expensive was very disgusting. Even though KIG claims they couldn’t verify that internally, their actions speak louder than their hollow, passive aggressive words. I was going to go in today to consign some beautiful pieces, but after research & reviews, I’m going somewhere else. I don’t feel like having a horrible day off by being wound up by narcissists. As for if I’ve ever been to this store, I have. About 7 years ago. And I was also ignored just like everyone else on this page. But if you’re on this page, may I suggest heading to The British Emporium that’s directly next to them? Very sweet people with wonderful customer service & British memorabilia & snacks to die for! A MUCH better use of your time in that part of Grapevine. Thank you to Grace & Erin!!
[Edit: The store’s response to this is so funny. If someone disagrees with them & they don’t review many places she’ll say they’re having a bad day & it’s a screed. If they review a lot of places & left a negative review someplace else, she’ll mention they were probably having a bad day at other stores before going to KIG or that that account is an anonymous account specifically going to their account to leave a negative review for no reason. To the lady that runs this account; please give it a break. Human beings don’t work like that, there isn’t a gaggle of teenagers or bored adults coming to your page specifically only to leave you bad reviews. In fact since I’ve left that review you’ve had two positive reviews from anon accs with the same name in the same tone of writing that you use refuting any negativity from my, or others recent reviews. Newsflash babe, there are very intelligent people who can tell tone, have pattern recognition both online & offline & who in general can detect bs. And your honest reviewers, the ones who are not fake, can smell your BS a million miles away. Your fake reviews with your fake accounts are very noticeable. Not all of them are fake but the fake ones are very very fake.
I’m gonna recommend you go to therapy, stop attempting to steal your clients money, get a hobby outside of the store, & in general being a nicer person (& staff) to the people who walk in & pay your bills. The way you conduct yourself on a public forum says alot about you & even though you’re attempting not to be snappy it’s all very performative. Especially the condescending “oh my’s”. Knock it off.
By the way yeah, you did used to be located on Main Street. Stop trying to make it seem like it’s crazy I said that. There’s literally still proof online even now.
How you can afford to be in such a big building with your customer service is beyond me. Have fun navigating late stage capitalism,...
Read moreI have never been treated so rudely and unprofessional by anyone as I was by the owner of this store. I have bought several items from this store including 2 formal chairs, 2 large mirrors and several art pieces. I have even recommended this place to my family, friends and coworkers. My last purchase was a large tapestry for the wall of my formal living room area. While removing the item from the wall, the store handyman accidentally dropped and broke the finials on both ends of the tapestry rod. I was assured that the piece could be repaired so I purchased it with the understanding that I would pick it up in a few days after the work had been done. I wanted to leave the tapestry and rod together at the store and pick them up once the repairs were done. The owner told me to take the tapestry and leave the finials and rod because the tapestry may be misplaced in the store move. A few days later, after driving a pretty good distance (1hr drive with traffic) to pick up the piece, the salesperson informed that the pieces were still broken. The salesperson, myself and my friend waited at least 15 minutes for the owner to get off the phone. She was at the front desk the entire time and completely ignored us as we stood in front of her. Once she got off the phone, she bypassed us to help a customer who had entered the store after us. Once the owner finally returned to the front desk, the salesperson showed her that the piece was still broken and her response was there was nothing she could do because she hadn't broken it, the store handyman had and he was responsible for it. She also said that I should've left the tapestry with the rod at the store. I had to remind her that is what I wanted to do in the beginning but was told by her to take the tapestry at the time I purchased it. She did not have a response to this. Needless to say, I did not want to drive all the way back home to return the tapestry so I told her that I would have the finials repaired and attached to the rod. I would've been satisfied with as little as a $20 store credit to put towards the cost of the new finials. The salesperson and I pulled up similar finials on my phone that were priced at least twice this amount. The owner flatly refused to issue a store credit and told me to return the item if I did not want it. Her demeanor was very dismissive, rude and abrupt. As I was leaving the store, the salesperson told me she was very sorry about the entire interaction. I told her that it was okay and she said no it was not okay and a customer should never be treated that way. I believe you should treat others the way you would like to be treated but I see that this owner is not of the same mindset, so shop at your own risk. I have definitely kissed this...
Read more[EDIT: All that this situation required was a, "sorry we didn't see/respond to your messages", owning/fixing the billing issue, and then moving on to support the next happy customer. Ten minutes, tops. Instead, they choose to demonstrate what other reviews are saying about how people are treated here.]
I tried to sell my dad's furniture here. They only took some, and sold it at a waaaaay cut rate -- and, of course, the payout was only half of that. I literally spent more on movers to get it there than I would have gotten, if they'd ever mailed the check.
After the dust settled from my father's passing and I was reviewing our records, I tried to contact them about the missing payment. They didn't respond, didn't respond, and didn't respond.
They only responded after I said I was disappointed with how they run their business, and THEN I finally got a reply - an unhinged screed about assumptions they had made and whether or not they liked my emails vs calls. (EDIT : see their own post below!)
No integrity, no acknowledgment of what was probably a simple error. Like the other reviewers say, "boy do they have a chip on their shoulders"
Give someone honest, kind, and...
