Bingham Family Vineyards Grapevine — Attraction in Grapevine

Atrocious service which myself and party received Saturday at the Grapevine location. As a wine club member, we looked forward to visiting the Grapevine location for the first time with 3 others who were looking forward to finding a location to also join as a wine club member. We were greeted at the door rather rudely, informed that there would not be space for us to stay, however we could sit at the table on the sidewalk. I had told the 2 ladies working the front that I was a member and gave them my name. They served my friends a literal splash of wine, and I asked for a glass of red wine. I was not served a 4 oz pour. Never during the course of our visit were we attended to, aside from the first rude interaction. Since we were not getting service, we got up and walked away from the 'patio' (sidewalk table). As we were approximately 1/2 way down the block, the 2 young ladies ran after us yelling that we could not just walk away. I had said, that we had our complimentary pour and did not wish to have anything more due to the absolute poor service we had received; assuming that my card on file was charged at the time we 'received service' She said "our service stops at the door, we can not serve any one past the door'. To which I replied, that if service stops at the door for legal purposes, it is therefore illegal for us to be allowed to set on a non-sanctioned patio with an open glass. These girls were VERY argumentative and quite frankly, the rudest employees I have come across. They insisted we come back to pay for the splashes of wine we received, after yelling and confronting us on the sidewalk down the block from the location. The 'glass' I was served was apparently the reserve tempanrillo, which was $20. At no point prior to the pour were we offered a menu nor were we told pricing on anything. The bar seats and 2 inside tables were open, however we were told we could not be served inside nor stay inside to do a wine tasting. I would have NEVER have ordered a $20 GLASS of wine. (if I had known it was $20, I would have insisted on an actual full pour). Reached out to Management and was offered no apology for the unprofessionalism, only a canned response about covid restrictions. Seems unprofessionalism is the name of their game. Cancelled the wine club and will stick to our favorites in Grapevine...too many other great establishments no need to deal with mediocrity from...

We visited Bingham on 5/29 as part of the North Texas Spring Wine Trail and were turned away from an otherwise quiet tasing room because "they were not serving participants of the wine trail that day". We had planned our visits to the wineries carefully knowing that the wineries in Grapevine would be overrun the weekend prior due to Main Street Fest, but Bingham's website nor Facebook page gave use any reason to feel that they would not be open for wine trail tastings on Memorial Day weekend.

This is now the second time we have gone to Bingham on the same wine trail and felt unwelcome. We will not be wasting our time with another stop, for a trail or otherwise, if this is the kind of service we can expect and there are plenty of other wonderful North Texas wineries that want our business. Good wine, terrible service. We made a reservation and at no point did they state that there was a time limit. As we were on our last tasting someone came over and stated “you have taken a long time with your tasting and we have another reservation so we need you to hurry up and leave”. We asked for our bill and before it even arrived another person came over and said “we really need you to hurry up because we have people waiting”. This service was beyond rude. We had all planned to purchase bottles and these attitudes made us change our minds. If there is a time limit, that needs to be stated up front and they need to seriously work on their delivery and customer service. The lady we had serving our wine was wonderful but the ladies behind the bar was rude.

*update for owners reply. We made the reservation in person and did not receive a confirmation email so the 30 minute time limit was never...
