The place is terrible. Things went bad early when we walked in and the heavy set lady behind the counter just rolled her eyes at us. Should have left right then but a bearded fellow came along and seated us so I thought, well, odd but let's give this a shot. Guess who then walked over to say she was our waitress and take our drink order ? Yup, that heavy set lady. Her method of asking our drink order went like this, "So are you going to be drinking anything other than the water ? It's free."

I've been in restaurants the world over and don't think I've ever heard that approach. She seemed to perk up when she started getting our drink order and I thought, OK, maybe she's used to people just having water but she seems OK now. Let's just relax, get our food, and go watch Star Wars. But then my son asked for tea. Holy mackerel this started a wave of confusion in our waitress. "We don't have sweet tea." was her response. That threw us because he didn't say he wanted a sweet tea. The table went silent and she stared at us for a while before she finally broke her silence, "We have regular tea. Is that alright ?" My son said, "yes, that's what I mean." She says, "No sugar." My boy being 12 says, "Well I just use that sugar there." pointing to the sugar at the table. Apparently, this was enough to make her say, "But not in the tea." ... What do you think our 12 year old said ? Never seen a waitress so confused by a boy asking for tea.

I really starting to think something is terribly wrong but again she seemed to perk up when she took our order. I'm thinking, OK, our order is in, we'll be fine. Nope. We didn't see her again for the rest of the meal. Someone brought out the appetizer. It was just OK and 30 minutes later, they brought out the food for my wife and I ... not my son. Frankly, he was lucky. Mine was horrid. Our waitress had disappeared so I finally flagged someone down to say, hey, my boy's food is missing. Oops, they said and finally brought it. By then, we could use drink refills ... never happened.

20 minutes later I flagged down the bearded fellow asking if perhaps our waitress had gone home. No, he says, apologizes and soon has us drinks and our bill.

We live about 3 minutes from Main St. This is the worst restaurant on the strip. We'd not been in there in years because neighbors say it's a dump. We were in the area and just thought we'd try it for fun but cannot recommend this place. Grapevine if full of restaurants, several great ones on Main St like Dino's, or Bob's Steak and Chop House or Fireside Pies. Or a couple streets over, there's Uncle Julio's and Ferrari's Italian. And these are just off the top of my head.

We eat out all the time because it's easier than cooking. We love adding restaurants to our weekly rotation but this one is a miss. Not sure they realize that next time we eat out we're either going to a place we know is solid, or to a new restaurant. Then again, maybe they're more about just feeding the tourists whatever crap knowing they'll never...

I'm very displeased with my overall visit to this place and I would not go back or recommend this place to anyone. Me and my wife came here to eat yesterday morning because we had been trying to find a place that made a good eggs benedict(we had it at a restaurant in Florida and it was amazingly good) so we decided to tried this place. We ordered the eggs benedict and a few minutes later one of the employees came up to use and told us they only had enough sauce for one. I asked what the girl would recommend and she told me the migas so I said okay. we got our food and my plate was just a big greasy pile of eggs, tomatoes, sausage, and mushrooms all on top of a tortilla that was coated in more grease. When I tried it I really tried to like it because I hate to complain but it was just terrible and very bland. I couldn't do it anymore so I took it back and got a simple ham, cheese, and mushroom omlet(pretty hard to mess that up, and it was still sub par and bland), I ate a little then threw it out cause I just wasn't feeling it. Oh, and get this I saw other eggs benedicts being served after all of this so I wasn't very pleased, its just they didn't ask me if I wanted to wait a few minutes for new sauce they just told me they didn't have anymore so I assumed they were out for the day. Now, the eggs benedict we got was also very bad, the egg was overcooked so no yolk(which is a very important part). Also, the hollandaise sauce was awful; no flavor and bland, like yolks and butter only. When I took the migas up they were very nice and promptly got something else going for me, however I ended up with an omelet with three ingredients and they never offered to compensate me the difference from the original eggs benedict I payed for which was $12 and I'm guessing the omelet was around $8; I let it go because I didn't think it was worth the trouble. In my opinion these guys are terrible but its not so much the service as it is the food, I mean if your really a chef you should at least use salt and pepper, I think if they fired there chefs and started over they could turn this place around but for now save your money or go somewhere else. Lastly, I'm not sure where those above photos were taken but that's not the place I visited at this location. The only real pictures were the bottom 2;one of the front and the...

I cannot say enough about how angry and disappointed I am! My family, my friends and I have been patrons here for years! We've spent thousands of dollars there, yet lately I have seen nothing of what this place used to be.

The owners have always been kind of stuck up and dismissive, however, at least their food and atmosphere was good and prices were reasonable. But, ever since they decided to make this a full restaurant with a bar and not just a bakery/cafe, the quality of the food plummeted, their prices have gone up and their customer service is dismal!

The time before las I was there I went for an early breakfast/lunch with my daughters. I ordered the mushroom quiche and I was very specific I did not want the salad with it because I wanted breakfast food. They brought me the salad anyway. It was tasteless, drowned in dressing and the bottom leaves looked like the salad you leave too long in the fridge and it becomes slimy and inedible. I, of course, didn't touch the salad. The quiche was cold, even though I said I wanted it warm, the pastry was hard and elastic rather than tender and crumbly like pastry should be and the mushrooms were, except for a couple of pieces here and there, non existent. That day, I left very disappointed.

The subpar food experience continued but the straw that broke the camel's back came yesterday. I was meeting my best friend for breakfast there at 10:30 AM. I got there and they refused to sit me. They said management policy is not to seat anyone until their whole party is there. I told them it was only my friend and I and that she was on her way but I was still told no. Their attitude is basically "take it or leave it". The manager, when I asked to talk to him was no better, and in fact was condescending and dismissive. I told him he's lost a customer and he didn't seem to care, just as the lady at the front didn't seem to care also. The thing is, it's not just me they've lost. Like I said... MANY friends and family of mine will stop coming there after I've told them what happened.

The truth is, it is obvious to me that they've bitten off more than they could chew with the full fledge restaurant! It has hurt the quality of their food and the quality of their customer service.

I...

Beef Tenderloin Sandwich: 4. Bread was soft, just okay, nothing special, but too much bread for the amount of meat in the sandwich. I think it said it’s peppered bread, but very little black pepper. The sandwich overall was pretty good in terms of good flavor, but just too little meat w/ too much bread. Truffle Oil & Parmesan Frites: 4. I picked up the order and ate it in my vehicle right afterwards, but not sure how long it was in the box before I ate it, so it probably would have been crispier and better if I had eaten it in the restaurant. The fries were thin-cut, which is good, and flavor was pretty good, though somewhat light, but stronger flavor when I ate the clumps of seasoning at the bottom of the box. Not sure that it’s worth paying $2 extra for the truffle parmesan for me personally, but I could see why some people would pay for it. Bread Pudding French Toast: 2. It was just very thick pieces of toast w/ some apple/pear cooked within the bread somehow. It was pretty dry for bread pudding, but still moist enough to have quite a mushy texture, so just overall not enjoyable. I guess the surface was dry because it was made like French toast (hence the name), but I just didn’t like eating something dry on the outside but mushy on the inside; I like extra moist and mushy regular bread pudding. Flavor was too light/faint, too. It comes with 3 triangles, but only two are shown in the photo because I ate one triangle so that the side could be seen better in the photo. Bombe Cake: 4. It’s supposed to have a creme brulee filling in the center, but the flavor was somewhat light. I guess because the creme brulee was a soft filling in a cake, it did not have the crunchy caramelized top surface of a typical creme brulee. Chocolate coating and chocolate mousse filling was pretty good. Pretty good, but nothing worth making a special trip for. FYI, the 2 employees I saw were not wearing masks.

We are at Main St Bistro three times over a two week period as the food kept drawing us back. Twice we came with a group over 6 and had a wait of around 25 minutes (although both times the host estimated the wait would be shorter). A big plus is that the host takes your number and will text when your table is open, allowing you to enjoy all of the nice stores in the area. The food comes out very quickly once ordered. The servers seem to be overwhelmed with tables across the restaurant and can be slow to follow up- that would be my only negative, as the servers we had were all very personable. My husband's bagel and lox platter was beautiful and tasty. I had the leek and mushroom quiche twice which was amazing. All within our party enjoyed their dishes. One Sunday we arrived at 9:30 with ample seating and by 10 the place was packed, so plan accordingly! On my last visit I ordered the avocado toasts with eggs over medium. The dish was served on a flat piece of wood, which was quite messy once I cut into the eggs. You won't be disappointed in this great bistro!

What a great find. It’s as close to a French bakery as I have found in the area. Drove 30 minutes to try it out. I will say the prices are a little high. The large eclairs were $5.25 and the mini ones less than half the size were $3.50. But, I get it. Times are changing but I just got back from Paris and the prices are significantly less so I assume it’s because they import ingredients or items from France. A lot of added costs to bring tasty treats abroad. The baguettes are pretty darn close - they just need a bit more crispy exterior and they will be identical to France. The eclairs were good but they had a slight taste of freezer or frozen freezer burn taste which wasn’t good. I paid almost $11 for 2. For the cost, I would expect it to taste like fresh. The chocolate croissant is almost exact like a French bakery but missing the flaky exterior that falls all over your clothes. But the taste is spot on. The traditional plain croissants were a high price as well but tasty. I would go back for the chocolate croissant for sure.
